Root beer is traditionally made from the roots of a sassafras tree. Sassafras is also a natural medicine, with a distinctive scent and taste, which is why "root beer" tastes like medicine.

You should be able to import root beer in Germany. You might want to try it first and share it with friends. Recommendations: Barq's root beer - A good all-around root beer. A&W - About the cheapest root beer I like to drink. IBC - My personal favorite. It's like Barq's but stronger and better. Stewart's - They sell this at Cracker Barrel. If you like it sweet, this one's for you. I bet it would go great in a root beer float.

Here’s a fun topic to start. I’m from Texas and our rival burger franchise is In &Out burger and it’s been greatly debated how they stack up to our Whataburger. I can say that I’m very neutral when I compare franchise’s and I’ll always give it to Whataburger every day. In &Out is simply too bland and the fries are soggy. I’ve honestly tried In and Out very open minded and some may say I’m partial, but I’m not. If In and out would’ve been better , I wouldn’t have a problem admitting it. I’ve tasted in and out once and I’ll never eat it again.

I definitely hope to go back at least once more before I get to old to go. I would totally volunteer to help put up, take care of, and show around some German guests who come to the Pacific Northwest of America and show them around, teach them things, and show them around and them later on maybe those same German guests allow me to go visit them and they show me around, take care of me, and teach me more about Germany! But I speak super little German, so they would need to be able to speak fluent English. And I wouldn't mind even doing for other foreigner guests from around the world like Iceland, Russia, etc. I would love to have different foreigners come visit me in America I take care of them and then I travel to them and they help me and take care of me, that would be epic!

Hi Conner. KZread recommended your video to me and I was blown away by the coincidence. I will explain why. I am also from LA, and am currently in Germany....since 1992, when Uncle Sam stationed me here. I am no longer a soldier, but decided to stay and live here. And, I am also currently involved in American sports over here. Baseball. I played and am now coaching. I played Bundesliga for a few years, and now that I am getting along in years, I coach. I loved your video because, like most folks from Cali, we always talk about In n Out. My wife knows it, she is German but having flown back with me many times, she has gotten to try it. My kids finally got to try it in 2019 when I took them to LA for the first time and they loved it. So far, only 5Guys has opened here. But even there the taste is different between 5 guys over there and here. Probably because the food laws are different. Still waiting and hoping for an InO though. :) Anywho, just want you to know, you now have another subscriber, who totally gets your perspective of LA comparing to Germany as well as Europe in General. Have been to Mallorca, Rome, Paris, Amsterdam ;-) , Berlin, etc etc etc. And love every bit of it, but also it amazes me how different it is from LA. My children were also blown away by LA and how different it is from Heidelberg, which is where we live. Keep it up, and if I can contribute or help with an American in Germany perspective, hit me up. CHEERS!
