Have you owned one yourself? You'd be surprised how well pets can change your mind. My parents owned a cat when i still lived with them so i thought i knew what it was like, but owning one myself made me love them even more which i didn't think was possible. Same for dogs.

​@@Guirko both cats and dogs are amazing and adorable pets, however the reason some people (myself included) might prefer cats is simply because cats can be much quieter, and more relaxed of animals. i love all animals, but i personally prefer cats because i have severe sensory issues which can easily be triggered by dogs in my experience, especially larger dogs when they get excited. im especially sensitive to sound, so the sound of a dog barking alone is enough to make me easily overwhelmed, whereas cats generally tend to make quieter/softer sounds.

OMG! My mom used to read that book to us a million years ago (I’m 46 now). I would look at her and say, “You’re not my mother. You’re a snort.” We would both laugh so hard. 😂😂😂

I vaguely remember the snort part but do recall baby bird going to other animals and machinery. There was another book I loved but can’t remember the name of it. It was a bear that had spots and he could change the colour of them and I think he was able to put his colourful spots on people and things? Lol. 🤣

I love how even animals can recognize when they have a Smol baby on their hands and they know to act gentle with it. This massive German shepherd carefully watching and walking around the kitten is so precious, I need this in my life

We had a cat that tolerated quite a lot of teasing from the children, until it felt like my eldest was old enough to know better and would slap him with retracted nails.

This dog reminds me of a gentle giant. Well aware of his size, but does not want to scare the little kitten. Melts my heart ❤

I love how the cat could just fly away from one kiss from the dog 😂

The way he licks the kitten and treats it delicately. I think he has understood that it's a baby who needs to be handled in a gentle manner. Super cute.❤❤❤❤❤❤

Dogs are smart and the german shepherd is one of the smartest (even if sometimes they do seem to have one braincell playing pong on their heads ) he understands that it is a baby, but must be confused because isn't a baby dog. (see that he turns his head in confusion because of the meows thinking 'why baby strange sound?' )

When he first looks over after the first couple of meows, it's like, "Um...guys... this one's bark is broken!" lol. But he's clearly absolutely loving the kitten and so happy. And he's being so gentle not jumping or playing rough, letting the kitten explore.

It's crying because a human just dumped it on the bed under all these lights, and took who knows how many takes to get best one. You don't think that kitten somehow magically fly up onto that bed? Poor thing it scare to death, just been dragged out of it's bed thrown on bed that is too high for it climb down. The dog is confused as to why the owner is so cruel to the kitten.

Rocky's sweet and gentle nature notwithstanding, what the little kitty searching around for was its mum. At 2 weeks old its waking hours are geared towards feeding and feeling the comfort of close proximity to the mother.

8 weeks is fine if you adopt siblings, they really only need 12 weeks if you're only taking one, that way they can properly socialize and learn. If you adopt brothers at 8 weeks, they are going to be major sucks and constantly be kneading on you.

That german sheperd is so loving and mature. This is why I love animals.

My buddies German Shepherd loved the whole litter of kitties. She always picked them up and sat them down in places and licked them. One night she picked them up and scattered all over the yard, we were searching for them all. One couldn't be found and we thought she was gone. As the night went on we sat down at the fire to take a rest, then we heard this faint meow!!!!! Got them all.

Such gentle communication. They’ve got ear shape in common. Dog is cautious not to hurt kitten.

How adorable, what a good boy he was with the kitty, I love animals they have such awesome personalities.

@@colleens1107 It's possible, though there is a video with a bunch of other kittens alone. It's also possible they have the mom, but separate the kittens to video it with the Shepard, which is also not great. At BEST they found a litter abandoned, but part of me doubts it.
