On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you prefer more up close and personal dogfights consider the IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battle series and experience intense WWII aerial combat over famous battlefields such as Stalingrad, Moscow, Rhineland and Normandy. Fight in and against Russian, American, German, British warbirds such as the P-51 Mustang, P-47 Thunderbolt, Bf-109, FW-190, Spitfire, Hurricane and rugged IL-2 Sturmovik attack plane. You can also fly legendary SPADS, Fokkers and Camels in WWI dogfights over the trenches of WWI and discover your inner Red Baron! And all of this can be experienced in jaw dropping virtual reality!
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

@@johnconran9327 Most likely a taboo subject. The Green Devils are known to have been fanatic Nazis, so the modern German military wants to cut all links with the Fallschirmjaeger of WWII. I don't want to glorify the Nazis, but I don't agree with it, since the Green Devils were legendary soldiers and you could be proud of their heritage as fighters. The Germans also got rid of the Iron Cross, which existed since Napoleonic Times... just because the Nazis used it. It's ridiculous in my opinion.

They also dropped at half the altitude and twice the speed...resulting in quite a few injuries on each drop. Realistically the lack of air power and suitable transport is what did them in. "Most" paratrooper operations in WW2 were unlike what we see in the movies, where they're dropping into active combat. Most of the time they were dropped a good distance from the objective.

Some years ago I flew with the JU from the Lufthansa and all passengers were able to climb into the cockpit in flight ( middle seat of the board engineer). I don't think you can stand up there to look behind for enemy planes. There is not enough space. The only way to survive was a escorted flight or simply luck.

Once affordable VR gets a wider field of view I'm gonna be the happiest guy around. I still swap back and forth due to the loss of peripheral vision.

Would love to see some low level schnellbomber attacks in the 88. That's my go to in IL2 especially online..can be hit and miss but usually the twin rear gunners can mess up a foolhardy fighter pilot

The Fallschirmjagers jumped with nothing but pistols and grenades. They were expected to fight their way to their other weapons which were dropped in separate containers.
