Nice video! "Leichenzug" could mean "Corpse Train", but usually means "Funeral Procession". And "Weltmacht" doesn't really mean "World Domination", but rather "World Power". :)

I found this very informative and I just love looking at those awesome band logos.
Verdunkeln is underrated. They share members with Graupel and are from the same scene but I think they disbanded in the early 2010s
Windbruch is the name for wood broken by wind. It's more of a technical term among rangers. Yes. I watched he video even though I'm German.
Dude, great video! I would like more like this one for shure
This is genuinely helpful
great video as always farvann 🖤
This is actually a very interesting video! Didn't know about Brocken Moon, I always thought it was mispelled! :D
More of this sort of thing please. Aaskeria are an outstandingly good band - so great to hear that I was pronouncing it wrongly
Yes definitely will like to see another video on band names🤘
That's cool you mentioned Verletzen (and noted they're Welsh). I guess they're not well known, but Weltenbrandt from Austria are pretty amazing.

I am learning german in school, and i have learned more german from this video then i have from 3 years of german studys.
Always nice to watch your videos :D 💕🤘🏻🖤
As I love black metal and linguistic stuff, I really appreciate this video and would love to see more, especially in Slavic and other Germanic languages! If necessary, I can help with Czech, Slovak, Serbo-Croatian and Polish!
I like this. Thanks for enlightening me.
This is the only way for me to discover new bands, because I literally don't know how to look for them 😅🖤 thanks Farvann🤘

Ellende is Dutch for Missery Suhnopfer is a sacrafice to make up for sins . In dutch it is also called similar.. Zoenoffer
Naglfar is a ship made out of dead people's finger/toenails, Nag(e)l meaning nail.
TBO Dornenreich could also be read as an adjective. It would mean "many thorns"
@Farvann

Ah yes you also mentioned Endstille! I love their 3 first albums and demo
Good job. Thanks.
This was awesome, do you think you'll do other episodes of other countries as well?
Great Video. Unfortunately language works differently (sometimes). In general you cannot split a word into its parts and translate them by their own. For example I would translate "Leichenzug" as "funeral procession" or, if you want it to be more black-metal "procession of corpses" rather than "corpse train"/"train of corpses". Unless you know these guys and that's what they intended. The stories behind these names is fascinating though. I kind of had a feeling odf what a "Drude" or a "Waldschrat" is, but I would have struggled so much with coming up with an explanation for it
Now I feel the urge to pronouce these as american sounding as possible 🤔

Ah, as in Elendsgracht (one of the streets in Amsterdam). Toll, danke.
Nice video🤘 Weltmacht is a good one. 2 Albums Singer is from Krieg. (German name too 😉) Guitarist is Akhenaten from Judas Iscariot. 🤘
Interesting, thank you! Will you make new game videos? Recommend you the game Unferat (name sounds a lot like German for me by the way)
The subtleties of putting a Swiss flag when talking a about Scandinavia. Lecker.
No Mavorim no Eisenkult 😢
Points off because only Kvelgeyst', Totenburg and Leichenzug' logos were illegible to start with 🙃
Check out the Todestriebe. Great Russian black metal band. Btw: idea for the next video. Bands with latin names. There are quite many of them.
Where are at least 2 bands named Nebelwerfer, one is from my former local scene in Russia. LG aus Österreich =)
You should check out Verlassen

As a french I can understand the process of translation for the band Blut Aus Nord as, we can say "Sang du Nord".
1:16 min is pure gold.
I got an austrian Artist who lives in Ireland. only a demo but considering its his first i like it: Slaine by crows- braving the storm
Do you like the french dark ambient/ neoclassical band called elend ? I love the german accent , greetings from portugal ☺️
Druid is the English word. We use it in Asterix sometimes, too. But Drude, Druide, same thing, iirc. Sühnopfer can be anything from Ablass to Sepukku. Windbruch can be wind break or wind throw, but Americans usually just say storm damage, unless they work in the lumber industry.
@Farvann

Druid and Drude are different things, at least in German. Especially because Druids are usually humans and Drudes aren't 😁

Love u man
hahah THANK YOU!
I'm missing Truppensturm and Thorybos. My favorites.
I checked out Graupel as per your recommendation. Did you know there's apparently a metalcore band of the same name? From Japan, no less. Basically sounds similar to August Burns Red. Not bad at all, actually, if you like that kinda thing. But when I first listened, I thought, "There's no way he recommended this." Lol

Steingrab i love to listen to their album Jahre nach der Pest
3:45 that ends 10 years of me saying nick-tul-jah
What about that band - Agrypnie?
"Wind break" makes me think "to break wind", which means "to fart" in England 😂
Grabnebelfürsten = Lords of the Grave fog or Lords of the Tomb Mist(?) I am not sure 😂
Some ptetty good bands mentioned here. 😮 "Windbruch" would I perssonally translate with 'broken by wind", eine Art 'Klaubholz'. 🤔 But I could be wrong... and drunken.
