The German MRE has a lot of products that we also like to use here in northern Europe. We prefer tangy and sour flavors over overly sweet, so for example rye bread is a good product. It is also a healthier product, because of fibers, and keeps hunger away for longer than wheat bread, and that is also a good point if you're "on the field". So far, I have only seen rye bread in Estonian, Latvian and German MREs. 👍

"this is either chicken beirut or lebanese chicken dunno which ones correct." you do know that beirut is the capital of lebanon right?😂 just two names for the same thing ham is just the name for a piece of meat from a specific animal part (the thicker part of the haunch) theres ham from any animal with thick legs, although colloquially english seems to only use the term to refer to pork. germany doesnt really have Pâté, all meat spreads are called sausages but since they have to be packed in metal tins for rations they look just like french Pâté, if youd buy it at a german store or butcher itd come in a sausage skin, instead of boiling or searing it though you just cut the skin open and spread it on bread. Pâté in german would be "Pastete" instead of using intestines to store it, its meat suspended in gelatin to make it last. I dont even know if the Pâté thing is french, or if its just what english somehow came to call meat spreads. Pâté on wiki looks to be the same thing as Pastete with the gelatin. Maybe its a modern french product? Pre refrigeration and airtight containers youd definitly couldnt have stored it like that for very long.
