    What a sweet mix of East and West. Those harmonies. Sound coming from those mountains. The dirt. The rock.

    There are very interesting line in this love song. 'Give me my sword back, or marry me' 'an mome chemi dana, an gamomkevi tana' there was a tradition in medieval Georgia. If a man liked a woman, he would throw his sword to her. If the girl took it, it would mean the she agreed to marry him. If not, then she refused. So the character of this song cannot understand if a girl is going to marry her, bacause it looks like she took the sword, but still ignores the man.

    @SvedskiKuvar Yeah! I think Balkan, Greek and Caucasian traditions intertwined possibly during the reign of Byzantine Empire or maybe earlier.

    @tatusha This is true. Georgians did adopt Christianity early. I am Armenian, and I know the history well. Our two nations were Christians way before Russians. Thanks from Los Angeles

    I'm not georgian. have no knowledge whatsoever about georgian language. don't have a clue about what they're saying. yet, I guess it's ok. no lyrics could do any wrong to such a peaceful and Good music (I mean ethically Good, with a capital G, not just "good" as "beautiful" or sthg).

    @cccpninakias It is traditional music and costume of DINARIC race (HLAB5). The only language of ancient dinaric people could be kartvelian languages (and maybe some languagese of american Indians). Megalitic structures comes from "atlanto-mediterranian" race(HLAB12). They are just much taller then dinaric people. Dinarics have brachycephalic skulls and atlanto-mediterranians have dolichocephalic skulls.

    @jonahbegone Georgia has adopted Christianity 5 centuries before Russia, so it's possible that Russians might have had some interest in learning from "older brothers" in faith, but I'm not sure about the similarities at all.

    @cccpninakias Yes, georgian culture is one of the oldest cultures. All people of DINARIC rase (HLAB5) comes from georgian people. Ancient people of Hercegovina comes from georgian prehistoric ancentors.

    @kozzzh (Sorry, my english is bad..) I think this kind of music is "music of DINARIC RACE" (Balkan, Caucasus, Carpathia...). Every racial type has its own music style.

    I didn't mean georgians are same with jews or persian, it would be silly) the talk is about SOME influences, just like Persian influence on georgian aristocracy. Georgian culture is undoubtedly unique, but there's no nation in history that is totally isolated from their neighbours' influences. We should remember we're children of one mother

  • @SvedskiKuvar

    @cccpninakias Atlanto-mediterranian and dinaric people are hardly mixed. You could find lots of very tall, slim and longfaced people in Georgia, couldn't you? They are atlanto-mediterranians mixed with dinarids. There are lots of magalitic structures in England. There are many atlanto-m. people in England, but almost no dinaric people...

    @kozzzh O.K. Semithic influence...

  • @kozzzh
    @kozzzh13 жыл бұрын

    @kozzzh Why semitic? Persians are Indo-European. Though researches show that ancient semitic cults were spread on south of Caucasus in times of babylonian captivity of jews. I heard that word "Iberia" has the same root with "Hebrew", but I can't say is it really true.

    @kozzzh Iranian language is Indo-European, but Iranian genes are of semithic, dinaric, and mediterranian rase. They music is similar to arabian and jewish music. Iranians are not blond, aren't they?

    @cccpninakias There is not evidence in history about it. It is PREHISTORY. The only evidence is in genetics. I can't talk about evidences, because I can't talk in English... : ( Just try to find "ojkaca na suvo", traditional music of some parts of Balkan. It is very similar to music of Georgia. Traditional costume of people of Balkan is very similar to t. costume of Georgins.

    @cccpninakias nice to talk to intelligent people) i feel you are a nationalist, it's typical for modern georgians, but i prefer to believe scientists, that talk about northeastern africa as home of humanity, and north africa and middle east as land of its first colonies (caucasus like all europe was under the ice). so what's the point of talking about genetics if we come from one woman? the talk is about culture, that was influenced during thousands of years by different ethnoses!

  • @kozzzh
    @kozzzh12 жыл бұрын

    @cccpninakias and when you talk about greedy nature of armenians and jews it sounds totally unscientific, are you kidding?! nationalism was cool in early 19 century, today is 21, time to think global, not in this "small but proud people" style
