This is one of the best songs I heard. I listen to it often.

I never get tired of hearing them sing. How amazing their voices. Cher definitely has her Mom’s voice. This song describes every Mom knowing their daughter will leave home to grown. I love the poignant moments in this video. Rest in peace lovely Georgia and thank you for Cher and her beautiful voice and funny moments.

Who has the blessing to have a mother till you are 76! This family has outstanding genes.

The literal life expectancy for a female in the us was 76 years back in 2021 lol. So as a generalized statement "most" people's mother live until 76... now it's actually more like 79. It's more likely a mother will make it to that age than a father. Generally speaking again, women on average live about 4-5 years longer than men

It’s all about the placement of the voice. Cher learned to sing from her mother and they both use a forward placement. Calling it “natural” simplifies it way to much. Instead, let’s call it technique.

Family members tend to sound a like. Plus her mom taught her how to sing so it makes total since they sound alike. Although I don’t hear a lot is nasality from either of them.

No disrespect to Georgia who was from another era and got no showbiz breaks. Cher has succeeded to the max in everything she ever did in her adult life. Cher has the star power and talent only a few people in a generation ever possess. More kudos to Cher for giving mom a taste of stardom.

I'm in heaven!!! I've loved Cher since I was a little girl! My parents would put us to bed and turn on the "Sonny and Cher" show and I'd sneak back down and crouch behind the couch so I could watch. One of the times that I went to one of her concerts in Portland, Maine with my then three-year-old son, Cher actually bent down to see him better while she was singing "Believe" and WAVED to him!! She's beyond amazing! Love, love, love Cher!!!!

Now I see where the low tones come from. I never used to like Cher's voice but it does grow on you. I think she should've done a little jazz music later in her career. There's a whole story behind this. Georgia Holt and recorded an album, which was about to released. But she made the mistake of being backed by Elvis band. When they were about to release the album, the blood sucking bastard known as the Colonial demanded 50% because of the use of Elvis' band. Georgia said, "Why the hell should I work for him?" Georgia's album wasn't released and the master tapes were lost. Then close to twenty-five years later, Cher was cleaning out her garage and happened on the masters of her mother's unreleased album. Then she came up with two brilliant ideas. The first was to completely erase the original music tracks with Elvis' band and then re-record the music using hers. The second idea was to include a couple of duets with her and her mother and this is the wonderful end result. Her mother, Georgia was a wonderful singer and she and Cher had a wonderful harmonious blend. It's a shame Georgia never had the opportunity to pursue a musical career because she was terrific!

It's easier when u watch near death experiencers tell their story about how it wasn't their time but how the felt so much love and no pain in the presences of Jesus. He is coming, soon.
