George MacKay (1917, True History of the Kelly Gang, Pride) is interviewed by Stefan Pape for his new psychological thriller Nuclear. The film also stars Emilia Jones (Utopia, Locke & Key), Sienna Guillory (Luther, Resident Evil), and Oliver Coopersmith. It is the directorial debut of Catherine Linstrum, and premiered at Raindance 2020.
Plot: Two of Britain’s greatest young acting talents Emilia Jones and George MacKay star in this haunting psychological drama. Brutalised, traumatised teenager Emma (Emilia Jones) and her mother (Sienna Guillory) are on the run from a harrowing past. Seeking refuge in a remote village, she meets a mysterious boy (George MacKay) who may be more than he appears…
As Emma grows closer to him, fascinated by his obsession with the defunct nuclear power plant that poisons the lake water, she soon realises that in order to overcome her fears she must face them…including the toxic, terrifying past which is determined to catch up with her.
Nuclear will be released on Digital on the 9th of November.

George MacKay is the ultimate leading man material, and such a gorgeous sweetheart. Can't wait for all his new movies, cause I just can't stop SWOONING over this hunkilicious British young man!!
He's so articulate and well-read.. Can't believe this man was not nominated for an Oscar yet

'yet'. Yup let's wait. I really hope that I would finally witness the the day of George Mackay being an oscar nominee or better, an academy award winner and I think it will come looking at how brilliant of an actor he is. I think he just needs to try participating on mainstream/big budget movies so that people will recognize more his talent but it looks like he prefers more on working on independent films. I think that's alright as long as it makes him happier.
George is so lovely and so humble. It's always a pleasure to watch his interviews. Great questions, btw. I can't wait for the new projects.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, seeing amazing actors like George Mackay be so proud to be a part of films that show the history of some of the community is awesome!!! Great interview!

I watched the Vigo Mortensen movie Captain Fantastic recently and was so taken by the actor who played the oldest son. He was excellent and it was making me nuts that I thought I recognized him. Thanks to Google, come to find it was himself! The delicious George MacKay. Someone needs to make a film where he and Tom Hiddleston play brothers
