George Knudson believed the golf swing should be based on the laws of motion with the body moving naturally to swing the golf club.
The swing is based on body rotation with minimum tension, a naturally flowing, simpler, easier swing, based on good footwork, active body rotation, weight transfer and balance,
He believed everyone has their own natural best swing.
If you want a simpler, easier way to swing the golf club this is it. Check out this video to get started!
Long Live George Knudson!

George's swing and Ben Hogan's pace are so similar. I feel George was more fundamentally sound and easier for others to replicate. Love the book. I've studied it for a couple of years. Thanks for promoting it. His kids, who I believe are instructors in Canada, I'm sure appreciate it. Swinging from the feet is one of the higher level concepts that not many people get but once you do, it's the core of the swing. From there, the hands are the boss to getting the head and face in the right place. Great stuff!

Thanks for the nice comment on George! Both him and Hogan had active ground based swings so both had fast paced motions. He was ahead of his time, he talked about using the feet and ground to move the club long before it has recently now become popular. Had the opportunity to take in a couple of his workshops in the 80's before he passed. Wonderful stuff and instructor. Great book, long live the Knud!

@@BarryTammyGibsonOver50Golf I was taught to swing from the feet through my golfing machine training. It's the best way to shift weight and work with the natural forces available. Don't get in the way or interfere just let it go. George had it right. One of my favorite swings of all time.

Great material on one of the finest players of all time. A forgotten one as well! Had George Knudson been a better putter he would have been a top ten player all time. Case Closed. He won eight times as a horrific putter! A decent putting stroke would have given him 30 to 40 wins at a minimum. I also feel he was the most articulate speaker in expressing his views of the swing. Not even Bobby Jones or Ben Hogan were as lucid about the swing. Hogan in particular was like a closed book. A genius that gave away nothing. Knudson wanted to share his swing brilliance with the ignorant and less gifted player. Which is to say most of us!! Much like him, you have a more simplistic view of the swing. Body and GROUND CONTROLLED. Take the arms and upper body as far from the equation as possible. Love these drills that clean out the attic. And best of all, clean up your game.

Thanks Don. George Knudson was an amazing player and you're right if he could only putt....I had the pleasure of watching him several times and took a few of his coaching clinics. He was also a great instructor after his playing days ended.. He believed in simplicity and learn to move correctly from the ground up, the rest gets taken care of! Golf is way over taught and analyzed especially these days. Work on a few key fundamentals of motion, learn to use the feet and ground the rest will flow. It's called golf swing not golf positions! Everyone can have their own great natural swing. You are bang on! Cheers!

Thanks for the reply back Barry. 👍 I consider you among the elite instructors because you take the elevator instead of the stairs. No overly complex thoughts or what Sam Snead called "Paralysis by Analysis." Rhythm and ground oriented drills help the gears mesh properly. Keep those wonderful rhythm drills coming.

Great video and thanks for posting, but get rid of the shite background music…you don’t need it and it detracts from an otherwise great recording!
