    He gave away a lot of guitars, for example, his ‘64 SG to Peter Ham and the sonic blue ‘59 Strat he used on John Lennon’s Imagine and his own Concert for Bangladesh, he gave to Spike Milligan

    George would be mad that they’re putting his name on this guitar, after he said it was the worst he ever owned. He only had it 14 days before he gave it away.

    @@thereevesbrothersPretty sure that's a myth. The Rolling Stone Interview were he allegedly said that doesn't seem to exist anywhere. The part about it only being used for 14 days is also factually wrong since there are not one but multiple pictures of him using it during throughout the 1969 sessions and it at least was used for the leads on Old Brown Shoe and Octopus' Garden if not on even more tracks from the Abbey Road era. All of this leads me to believe that whilst definitely not being his favourite, he didn't nearly dislike it as much as people claim he did...

    @@Elias-mh3in He definitely disliked the guitar tremendously. Delaney has verified that. I own one of these guitars and they’re great, but I do not think George Harrison would’ve wanted his name on them. The Rocky Strat is an entirely different story.

    @@thereevesbrothers @thereevesbrothers We don't know what George exactly said to Delaney. What's more the point to me is if he really without exaggeration haaated it why would George use the Tele on multiple sessions for the rest of the year when with the documentary crew gone there wasn't any need showing it of for marketing purposes any more and other options like Lucy and his casino (which both were also used a lot on Abbey Road) or Rocky (which was rarely if at all used on the Abbey Road sessions ) were all readily available. Him saying he "hated" it doesn't really make sense in that context and might have just been a really exaggerated statement. He must have at least seen it as a usable tool for a few months but might just have been over it when he finally gave it to Delaney in late (!) 1969

    Dealany Bramlet almost immidiately. George Harrison called the Rose wood Telecaster the worst guitar I have ever played”. George Harrison only played a Telecaster one time in his life and was very unsatiesfied with it.

  • @petegasper2806
    @petegasper2806Ай бұрын

    He hated the Rose wood Telecaster. Its been documented many times and in a few interviews he calls it ” the worst guitar I have ever played” . The one he did with Rolling Stone Magazine calling the Rose wood Telecaster ” The worst guitar I have ever played” might be the one getting the most attention. It was hardly used at all in the studio at all during the Get Back / Let it be sessions. A few days maximum. George did almost all studio recordings for Get Back / Let it be with his absolute favourite guitar the Fender Stratocaster Rocky. The only reason the Rose wood Telecaster is used on the roof top is because George knew the police might come and take their equipment. So he figured They might as well take the worst guitar I have ever played The Rose wood Telecaster. George Immidiately gave away the Rose wood Telecaster to Delany Bramlet and told Fender he would sue them should They ever try to use his name along with a Rose wood Telecaster. That promise was kept by Fender who called it ” All Rose”. 2 years after Georges death His widow Olivia Harrison completely betrays George and buys the Rose wood Telecaster and in 2017 lets Fender produce it. Both Olivia and Fender knows the Rose wood Telecaster was the guitar George called ” The worst guitar I have ever used ” and that its the least used Beatle guitar of them all. In fact its not sure its on any Beatle somg at all since George Harrison remixed the roof top concert in the studio with his Fender Stratocaster Rocky. But Olivia Harrison has done just about everything against Georges wishes since his death. George Harrison only played a Telecaster once in his life and completely hated it. It was ordered by Paul McCartney. They made 3 Rose wood prototype guitars and gave one to George Harrison ( who hated it) one to James Burton ( known Telecaster player with Elvis) who sent it back because even he did not like the sound of it. And the Third They sent to Eric Clapton. What Clapton Thought of the Rose wood Telecaster is unknown but as Clapton has used Telecaster on every album from 1963 to 2021 and says he Loves the Telecaster and also used the Telecaster heavily live from 1963 to 1989 he might have liked it better. Clapton actually Started recording with Stratocasters as late as 1974 ( in his auto biography he says his his first solo albums were recorded with a Gibson Les Paul and to a certain degree a Telecaster). By 1982 Clapton was fed up with the Stratocaster and signed with a Guitar company called Strings and Things. They made excelllent Humbucker guitars and was Working with Clspton to make the most powerful Humbucker guitar They could find. A year or 2 later Fender offers Clapton the biggest amount ever for a guitarist to sign with Fender. Clapton replies ” If you make Me the absolute most powerful Humbucker guitar in the world I sign with Fender”. Fender Succeds in building the absolute most powerful Humbucker guitar the world has ever seen. Even today nothing gets close. And Clapton signs with Fender. Thats the guitar Clapton has used since early 1986 and became The Clapton signature Stratocaster in 1988. With its stacked Humbuckers and incredible 25 DB mid Boost its between 17 to 20 times more powerful than a Gibson Les Paul Humbucker wise. Even with the Boost Completely Off its more powerful than a Gibson Les Paul because of the Stacked Humbuckers and the electronics and the wirering. Clapton Off course does not see this as a Stratocaster despite its looks and name. And he should not Either because its as far way from a Stratocaster you can possibly come.

    There needs to be more darker wood finish guitars. I like seeing the wood grain on natural finishes, but they're usually so tan and bland. But this looks classy.
