I loved how Tom Petty made it a strong point about George Harrison being the first Beatle with a number one solo album. Breaks my heart that George was so ignored and put aside. George Martin admitted it. I always felt the cream of the cream came to the top. I'm sorry we lost George too soon

George isn't underrated...true music lovers know his worth....and All things must pass is still the best solo album by any ex Beatle...if you fact check, you will find out that it has sold more copies than Paul's Ram and John's Imagine combined.... George is very popular among this generation. Here comes the sun is the number one Beatle song on Spotify with 350+ million streaming. And Something is the second most covered song of the Beatles after Yesterday. 3 of his most popular songs have been used in 3 successful movies...

All Things Must Pass was the first solo Beatle album to go to number one only in the UK. In the US, McCartney's first solo record went to number one in May 1970, beating George to the number one spot by about 7 months.

Now, in 2022, if you watch Peter Jackson's "Ge Back" you will hear John and Paul admit that they mistreated and ignored George for too long. That is why George walked out of the Get Back filming saying he quit the band. it took John, Paul, and Ringo two meetings to convince him to come back. Then they still only let George have one song on the new album! John was actually the first to permanently leave the Beatles (mainly due to Yoko) but George was more than ready to be done with the band.

I was lucky enough to go to the concert George did at the Royal Albert Hall and could not believe my luck when I got right to the front actually leaning on the stage, George was about six feet away from me about half way though the concert he leaned towards me and said 'Hello' I was frozen in awe. That is a moment I will forever cherish and to me George will never die as long as his songs live on, God Bless George.❤️

George was my favorite when they first came to America in 1963. I was 9 years old. All my friends were drooling over Paul, but there was something in George's eyes that captivated me all my life. I bought all the music he released, and I loved that wicked sense of humor, with just a touch of sarcasm. We've lost such a great man.

George was sweet, sexy, spiritual, kind, humble, incredibly talented and a wonderful human being. When he left this life to start a new one, he left a huge hole in humanity that no one, NO ONE, will ever fill. They broke the mould when they made him, there will never be another George. We are poorer, in all aspects for losing him. RIP lovely man

Hyper fame never changed George. World wide admiration and he tended his garden. George never lost sight ( even for one moment) what was really important to him. Family, friends, music and bright positive humor. What a treasure of a man. A generous and caring soul all day long. Modest and honest, no wonder we all learned from him, how to be a decent human.

No celebrities have ever made it to the tier of fame that the Beatles made it to. Brian Epstien predicted that "The Beatles will be bigger than Elvis." There's the most famous stars in the world, like Elvis, and then there's `The topper most of the popper most". That's a place only the Beatles have catapulted to. It's not likely any celebrity will ever reach that level again.

No words can describe how many ways the music; lyrics and Monty Python antics of the multi-faceted Mr. Harrison kept me laughing, gave me hope, and gave me peace in the knowing that 'all things must pass'. I was 5 years old looking at Life Magazine with the front cover of the 'beatles arriving in America'. I had older sisters and grew up with all their music together and separately. All Thing Must Pass has and will always be my mantra. May you live in peace and harmony with our Lord.

Easily the most interesting of the four Beatle guys. Paul McCartney remain my favourite Beatle because of his amazing songs but George Harrison always came up with fascinating, intriguing songs. It couldn't have been easy having to pushing his songs down Paul's and Johns throats. They never were that interested in his songs during the Beatles years. All Things Must Pass yielded an embarrassment of riches and was an amazing first solo album. I like every album of his and Cloud Nine is my all time favourite solo album by any Beatle.

Never given the respect by Lennon & Mc Cartney he deserved to have more of his songs on The Beatles Albums. To me he out shone both of them in their solo careers. RIP George

Amazing moment and great memories that lives on in his music and words of wisdom🙏Today those words are even more relevant than the music. Thankyou George for being here in the past, now and the future. A music legend, but also a great human-being that just got better with age and experience like we all should do in life🙃🙂🤗😘😊🙏🙏🙏

Listening to Olivea's speech makes me think of what the hell is happening to music today and why? I believe I do know why!!! $$$$$$$$$$ . As she says"George tried to write songs that would mean something years from now"... That's is what music should be about. Music of the 60s, 70s and 80s, along with some of the 50s had meaning, and will be remembered for years and years to come. Including Country Music. This bull shit today isn't music and don't even come close. These Back Street Boys, Nsync, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, and all the others including this hip hop shit is a royal joke. It's all about money, big gold chains, their body guards, filth, and followers, and short lived fame. Computer generated sound to sing to, "BIG DEAL"... There will never be another bunch of real talented musicians come together that could play their own instruments, write their own lyrics to their music, and perform like real dedicated professionals, as the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s produced. The biggest thrill back then was to hear yourself on the radio, now its how much money can I get. Always Rest in Peace George and all other professional, real artists who have passed, and thank you all for the memories, enjoyment, thrills, and excitement leading us all through those wonderful years!!!
