uncjim so true. I was about 4-5 when he beat Frazier. I LOVED boxing at that age. I remember vividly thinking Big George was mean and vicious. He terrified me. Then when he made the comeback for his church - I remember thinking- wow he’s not like I remember. It seems like he picked up the humbleness of Frazier and the humor of Ali. And it wasn’t the Afro that made him mean the first time around 😂

@@number-ey8lz There's no doubt about his greatness. That was one hell of a fight where George played with Moorer's mind and knocked him out in the end. What I meant to emphasise was just how much he had changed. From trying to kill everyone he faced to just fighting and winning a clean fight. He was so much more likeable in the second coming.

@@joshuatree5620 Well people don't give Frazier credit for the win over Ali for two reasons. Ali beat Frazier twice after their first encounter, plus Ali had been out of the ring and out of training for several years before fighting Frazier and the argument was that the Ali that fought Liston and Cleveland Williams and so on, would have ran rings around Frazier. As for the second point, there's no secret about why people rate Foreman over Frazier, they met twice and Frazier got fucked up. I agree no one should take anything away from frazier but he wasn't as good as Foreman

Michael moorer came off with some bullshit as George being ‘fake’ big George likes to smile and feel joyful around people and people like moorer can’t understand that. Maybe Moorer thinks differently now he’s older

Out of respect for the legend Smokin' Joe Frazier you should spell Joe's last name right: F-R-A-Z-I-E-R not Frasier.

George's first few words allude to his inability to (after all these years) make sense of that Ali loss. George had more than two months to acclimate to Zaire. He always is seeking to place the blame everywhere instead of admitting to himself that plan A, was to go out and kill Ali and when that didn't work he was incapable of coming up with plan b. Ali telling him in the clinches "George, you hit like a sissy" took everything he identified himself with away from him. He will have that loss on his mind forever because he's never been able to wrap his head around it.
