I’ve been in love with this piece ever since I heard it for the first time and couldn’t sleep that night. It’s one of the most terrifying and emotional pieces of music I have have heard. I wish I could hear a performance of this piece live, or even better, get to play it myself. This video was very informative and there were things in here that so never knew about the piece. Part of the reason I love this piece so much is that I always learn something new about the piece each time I listen or research about it. Things like the significance of 7 and 13, the extended techniques used, how this piece was a protest to the Vietnam war, the music quotations, etc. Excellent video about an excellent piece!

Hi! There's a little bit on Devil music in the section beginning 4:52 where we talk about unusual ways of playing instruments. Did you want to listen to the whole thing? It starts at 3:34 in this recording: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6h81qWPlbiaXaw.html&ab_channel=incipitsify :) Thanks for watching!
