I was there. Missed much but right in front. I walked around the whole area & even recorded some portions of it myself on a portable tape deck. It took place inside of one those old airplane hangers. It was George Clinton's birthday too. I recall that this set was free to those who arrived early and as a pre-opener to the event which officially began the next day. It was loud, funky and fun. Nice to see it complete. Thanks for posting this.

Thursday night was the best part of Woodstock 99. It was all downhill from there.

Good show.... my comments (I wasn't at this show but saw the band a lot during that period)...... love treylewd but this show could have done with less tracy and more garry shider. In other words, a "Cosmic Slop" would have been nice (maybe they were saving it for the next night?). Highlights: Mike Hampton's "Maggot Brain" (as usual), Lili Haydn jamming with Bernie Worrell, George facing Garry and Bootsy and Blackbyrd during the funkadelic jam at the end.... and of course Belita Woods really made that "Mothership Connection" memorable. I remember seeing them at Red Rocks in Denver the same year and they still had that great mothership prop.
