George Building Collapse | Families battling to come to terms with loss of loved ones

We continue coverage of the multi-storey building collapse in George.
It's been 9 days since the structure caved in.
19 workers remain unaccounted for - with the death toll standing at 33.
81 people were on-site at the time of the incident last Monday.
For more on this, we cross-live to SABC News Reporter Lerato Fekisi, who is speaking to some of the affected families.

I did say they won’t have money to be taken home because they don’t earn enough to cover cost like this . When we complain about slavery salary everyone think we are crazy or hate our black brothers , don’t who bash us must help now. Those who benefit from exploitation must help

I heard someone saying that as the building collapsed, some workers ran away. Maybe if it is true, they can come forward so their names could be ticked off the list of unaccounted for.

I feel for the families. However, I blame the CORRUPT ANC GOVERNMENT for this disaster. WHERE is border control without bribery to enter SA??? SA sits with the entire Africa to provide jobs. WHO will feed all illegal immigrants if there is already food short in SA to feed our own people?????

It is sad . Very unfortunate situation. The truth of the matter is, we need to be realistic with this situation. They were not Employed by the ANC. It is unfair to blame the ANC for this Situation. The truth is the Employer failed to follow the Basic Conditions of Employment not the ANC. My their soul rest in peace.

All cheap cheap labour from malawi, zimbabwe and mozambique.. no benefits, not tax registered, no workmen's compensation. Taking shortcuts to exploit illegal migrants for maximum profit. That time we havent even heard from the company. Its appalling.
