"Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You" is a song written by composers Michael Masser and Gerry Goffin. It was originally recorded by American singer and guitarist George Benson for his studio album 20/20, released by Warner Bros. Records. This original version was produced by co-writer Masser, and was released as a single in Europe only in 1985. Two years later, in 1987, Hawaiian singer Glenn Medeiros sang his cover version, which became a worldwide success.
George Washington Benson (born March 22, 1943) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He began his professional career at the age of 19 as a jazz guitarist.
A former child prodigy, Benson first came to prominence in the 1960s, playing soul jazz with Jack McDuff and others. He then launched a successful solo career, alternating between jazz, pop, R&B singing, and scat singing. His album Breezin' was certified triple-platinum, hitting no. 1 on the Billboard album chart in 1976. His concerts were well attended through the 1980s, and he still has a large following. Benson has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
This song reached no. 3 in the Dutch Tipparade on 8 June 1985.

😢😢😢I'm crying, simply because they don't make music like this anymore. I'm GenX and consider myself very lucky to have experience a golden age of the best music, talent of the 80s and 90s. So many sweet memories, wish I had a time machine to go back, life was so much better than❤. I miss those days.
My late Father was friends with George Benson. My Dad was a Alto Saxaphone player. They were born and raised in Pittsburgh Pa. I miss my late Father.

My late father always sing this lovingly for my mother. He doesnt have the best voice, but my mother liked it. Sadly, he passed away 6 months ago. Stroke got him. He suffered for two years. Love you dad, though im not the best son, i will try to live up to your expectaion.

What a masterpiece that deserves to be put on repeat.
I was in Grade 8 in 1984, and I had this friend that carried my schoolbag every day. He came from his school, waited for me, just to carry my bag. And serenaded me with all George Benson's songs!! I am 57 this year, and George's voice and songs lives on!! I am a total 80 'S and 90's girl. The best music from that era!❤
I'm 50 years old now, and when I was a teenager, I was listening to the radio and this song played. As soon as I heard this song, I fell in love with it. And it became my favorite song. I think my heart beats the same when I listen to this song then and now.
this takes me back driving around with my late father listening to this cassette and he would sing the loudest. i can still smell it in my head, the seat, the dash, the wheel, the air. beautiful days, beautiful song..

George Benson's voice is just so smooth and passionate. I love his version of this song. Glenn Medeiros also recorded this song and his version was more popular, but I like George Benson's version much better.

It’s kind of funny. Whitney Houston’s Greatest Love Of All and Glenn’s version came about that time. But when years after, I heard George’s version on both songs. Genuinely surprised and stunned.
Am 75 now. Back in the day wenty to several of GB's concerts at Wembley Arena. His voice still inspires me to sing along, to the dismay of my surviving sibling, my son and daughter and my grandchildren!
