There's something unique about music from the 80's, I think it was an angelic time of the world, to all the music legends from that time big up to them all, no other music style will ever compare to the music from that timeline😘I can never get enough😍

This song was the hit number one for many time during the year of 1982, sadly We couldn't enjoy it because my Mom passed away that year. So every time I play or just sing it, can't end without tears on my eyes, even has been a lot of years ago, Mom I will love forever wherever you are.

February 29th, I came home from work to find my father's lifeless body in his bed after seeing him that afternoon. This past three weeks have been a very rocky process of grieving, and I find myself here to one of my dad's favorite songs. Didn't say it enough, but I love you Dad. My favourite bit of the song…
My dad died last week and it hit me that THIS would be his song if I had to choose one. We finally said sorry and he made it up in the end. Also, my sister made her peace with him before he went. He was a huge fan of classic rock as a music promoter and I was born in Chicago so this song hits hard these days. Remembering the good times, pops! 🍻🎶 Luv you forever.

Wow this song finds a way to really break into the innermost part of the soul. The singer just said he couldn’t stay away from the one he loves and I can relate to it. It just had my eyes water the 1st time I heard it cause I was away in TX to visit my mom and I left my dad alone 4 a while. And it tore my soul to bits

If there was one decade I would stay in forever it would be the 80s . Kids today will just never know how it was to be in a time when there was no social media, no internet. To just go to your friends house, chap on the door and ask if they where coming out to play .

@@adibrindea "Questions 67 and 68" is a 1969 song written by Robert Lamm for the rock band Chicago (then known as Chicago Transit Authority) and recorded for their debut album Chicago Transit Authority. It was their first single release. Lead vocals are shared by Lamm and Peter Cetera. In 2015, Dave Swanson, writing for Ultimate Classic Rock, listed the song as ninth in a list of top ten Chicago songs.[1] Writing for Rock Cellar magazine, Frank Mastropolo rated the song as number 11 in a list of "Top 11 Question Songs".[2]

This is my favorite song by "Chicago". As children, my sister and I learned to play this song as a piano duet. When we had perfected the composition we sang this song as we accompanied each other. We were both in tears, positively in love with the lyrics and our Divine accomplishment. This song is very dear to me.

Much Love in 2023
Lyrics: Everybody needs a little time away I heard her say from each other Even lovers need a holiday Far away from each other Hold me now It's hard for me to say I'm sorry I just want you to stay After all that we've been through I will make it up to you, I promise to And after all that's been said and done You're just the part of me I can't let go, ooh Couldn't stand to be kept away Just for the day from your body Wouldn't wanna be swept away Far away from the one that I love Hold me now It's hard for me to say I'm sorry I just want you to know Hold me now I really wanna tell you I'm sorry I could never let you go After all that we've been through I will make it up to you, I promise to And after all that's been said and done You're just a part of me, I can't let go After all that we've been through I will make it up to you, I promise to You're gonna be the lucky one

The very first record I brought was ‘if you leave me now’ which made me a Chicago fan up until today. The lyrics of that song as well as this song are sadly relevant being that I lost my wife of 40y in 2023. Now everytime the songs are heard it Saddens me.
1980 Background Music, the greatest of all time
The harmonies, musicality, instramentals: how could any other band before them top this?? I went through the British Invasion, Psychedelic music, disco, and nothing comes close to the brilliance of this! THIS is music forever.
❤ There are no longer ballads like this in 2023!❤

Patsy you look so lovely and got a pretty smile, how are you?
May of 82... Hmmm... I was six years old. I was in kindergarten when this song was released. I'm alarmed how much I remember from those days compared to recent past. I remember it very clearly and very often. Life back then was idyllic. I had loving parents, a great little sister, a loving extended family. I had a bunch of aunts, uncles, and cousins.... I used to love drawing things like cars and car washes. I had a pair of purple shoes with rainbows on the side - because they had velcro! One kid might have said something smart but for the most part no one cared. That was the year I met who would become my lead guitarist in 9th grade (91/92), my friends Marisa, and Holly.... My bike a a kid sized light blue Kent with 16" wheels and a banana seat. I wish I never gave it to Holly later on.... This song immediately reminds me of a time that was warm, caring, fun, and hopeful. I sit typing this from the very house I lived in back then. I'm one of those weirdos who knew when they were six that they'd have their house forever!
I like to thank Glove and Boots for taking me here.
I'm here for it... Real Music that is, 2024'!
