While I do come from Generation Z, I can imagine a time where people didn't make a big deal out of white tic-tac earbuds or make peasant jokes based on them. Headphones were a much bigger thing back in the day, from what I've seen, and now I'm one of the very few people who still wears them despite not being from the 80s. The fact that I'm even fascinated with 80s culture does a big favor for the older people out there.

I used to listen to this with my sister when we were kids in the beginning of 90s. The part at 00:59 - we never heard what he sung so just went "wabadabadaabaaduu i love you...". It wasn't until 2010 something when i played the song for a friend who listened to it for a while and said "it must be 'you ought to know by now how much'" - what a revelation!

Songs of yesteryears have so much melody with meaningful lyrics ❤

I cant believe I found this song after so many years. My dad played this song in the car when I was still a small boy and the tune just etched intself in my memory. Today, at work I was doing a task when i suddenly heard familiar tune on the radio. I quickly realised this was the song I heard in the car all those years back. Without wasting time, I I pulled out my smartphone and shazamed this song. Now I've finally been able to identity this song that's been in my head for so long. What a great day!

I agree. I grew up in the 8os and music was best then. No other decade had love songs like the 80s did. I'm 52 now and miss it.

This is much more than a song. It's the hymn and the sum of all emotions for all of us who were young and falling in love in the 80's. I was 18 in 1989 when I discovered this song ….35 years later and I can still smell the perfume on her hair dancing on this masterpiece.
