How lame

I'm currently, or at least the doctors general assessment of me is that I'm dying of cancer, maybe a year left if I'm lucky so I unfortunately seem to be experiencing this quite a lot at the moment. Missing out on my kids turning into adults as they're at that stage, missing out on how the world pans out, my background in international politics and how certain world defining events are currently developing. I think a lot is related to time. How much we have or perceive to have left to achieve it not miss out on things. A misspent youth does probably mean I have watched every episode of Colombo though, so that can be a life achievement I guess. At least your videos keep me cheery on some of these long dark nights though. Thanks a lot Georg.

I'm very sorry you're being put through that. Hang in there and make the most of every moment you can. More specifically, look into reducing your intake of the amino acid methionine from your diet. Depending on the type, this may help. Don't harbor false hope, but the science backs it up. I am not a medical professional. Google "methionine restricted diet" or "methionine and cancer" and talk to your doctor. I lost my father to cancer, and my grandfather, grandmother, cousin, aunt, and nearly my sister. I wish you the very best and as much peace and joy as you can manage. Be well and hang in there

Didn't Plato warn us of the effects of losing ourselves to fantasy? My memory is fuzzy but I recall reading about this in class years ago, that he was afraid of theater becoming a form of escapism for people to the point where they become spiritually defunct trying to chase after a dream. Idk. Tv and internet has turned that dial up by over 9,000 😅 Also, Columbo is the best. Everyone should watch him. He's the detective we all need in our lives.

I actually consider it a great strength that I don't envy anyone. Almost all of my personality traits are incredible virtues. I think one of the strongest virtues I have is my humility. You've probably never met anyone as humble as I am.

The good news is if you've seen one episode of Columbo you've seen 'em all.

That lava lamp gets a little bigger every update.. And oddly enough, I think Steven Seagal has that same shirt but in XXL size.
