​@@fahadking5553 versus will prob work but since gd is made in cocos2dx rob has to def get an multiplayer extension and make it p2p since dedicated multiplayer would fuck up his servers so p2p ks choice dont blame him for chossing a bad multiplayer model ik it lags but its optimal and easy to host especially on a 2d game engine

I started playing in summer 2022

The fact that this is currently #9 on trending (may have been even higher earlier) just shows how much hype 2.2 has had over the hears. So many old players, current players, and new players are going to be there for the release and I think non-GD players will probably see this update here and there because of how much 2.2 will BLOW UP the internet.

And the game kept a dedicated community and player base after 6 years without an update do you guys realize how crazy that is not only that but Rob is all alone doing all of this. This update was *_way more detailed and filled with features_* more than i expected :o I honestly cant wait to see what the community would create :D sure it might be messy at first but i hope people would be able to utilize most of the features to create great and polished levels under a short period of time Then theres 2.2.1.... Edit: the games as of size on android is 186 mb while on windows 368 mb and 2.1 was 86 mb on android and 260mb on windows i forgot the actual file sizes of 2.1 that shows that 2.2 is the biggest update of all geometry dash!

Honestly I never really expected 2.2 to ever come out. It’s always been a thing that just feels so distant. The feeling of knowing that it’s finally coming out in less than a month is absolutely crazy. Thanks for the amazing game and memories rob.

This is just unbelievable. Considering what creators have been able to do in 2.1 and seeing how many things are new in 2.2, I just can't imagine the possibilities. All the effects, triggers, options... Damn, it took a long time, but it is going to be a revolution.

Even though the last update was so long ago, you can see just how much work has gone into this one. 13,000+ sound effects, FIVE NEW LEVELS, a new gamemode, totally revamped editor and character customization, 700 new icons (which is almost double the amount available across EVERY version if geometry dash), and probably tons of stuff we don’t know about yet. RobTop, though the wait has been long and rough at times, your dedication to this game and this community is unlike any solo developer I’ve ever seen. Thank you for this amazing game
