The next section that RobTop created as part of the 2.2 update is called 'The Tower', which contains platformer-mode level variants that your icon can move horizontally freely using the left and right arrow keys! Completing these types of levels will earn you moons instead of stars!
This new level mode variant is pretty awesome, to be honest! It reminds me of my childhood playing popular platforming-mode games that are related to this, such as New Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo DS and other games that you can think of! It is a new dimension to playing Geometry Dash and I'm glad they've put checkpoints function to try a specific section you're not good at until you get fluent at it!
What I didn't realise is that collecting the three secret user coins in each level requires three different requirements to hit those blocks at the end of the level:
1) Collect all small yellow coins
2) Collect the three hidden blue coins, equivalent to the star coins in the New Super Mario Bros. series
3) Complete it at a certain time or less... and yes you have to hit that block to stop the timer in hopes of getting that coin!
There have been some close failures during the recordings of those levels. Still, unlike my past Geometry Dash videos, for this level compilation of the first floor of The Tower, I'll be only showing the 100% completion runs that include collecting all three secret user coins in one go! It was great playing these platformer-mode levels for the first time! I'm looking forward to the next levels on the second floor at a later update and trying user-created ones soon! GG RobTop! :D
