My father worked at Lake Shore Gold mine in the 50s...the mine closed and we moved to Bancroft, and my father worked for the Faraday uranium mines, he was a mill shift boss.....♥️🇨🇦♥️
It's great to see real geologist explaining vs studio and suits trying to explain! Thanks Dave and Geology of Gold in Ontario!
Has anyone tried panning the black sand in Lake Huron? Is there gold?
Where can I find paydirt in southern Ontario?
Between breaks, structures and splay's, I have no idea what he's talking about but still sounds interesting.
Thank you for your knowledge . Thank you for sharing this information . You’re a wise guy . Would love to go gold hunting one day ! I’m from B.C. recently moved to Ontario
My family cottaged on Perry Lake, close to Timmins. I loved every moment I spent up there while growing up in Southern Ontario. I am wondering: Is or could that whole area be a giant “splotch” of molten ejecta from the meteor impact in Sudbury?
can you tell me were I can pan for gold please
can you go any where on lake superior and find flower gold in the black sand on the Canada side? thanks what would be your best place to find it near ohio?? thanks again!!
Great little clip.. Very informational and interesting.

Looks like map 2453 (the East-Central Sheet). Free version is available online at the link below. I believe physical maps are available from Ontario's Ministry of Northern Developments and Mines. www.geologyontario.mndmf.gov.on.ca/mndmfiles/pub/data/imaging/M2543/M2543.pdf
Arkean structures, breaks, and splays. Some of us are seeing this vid for the first time. You have to dumb this down.

Yes, this video is more for folks in the mineral prospecting exploration industry This would be a good studying aide, for a beginner just write down words to look up
How about in the GTA. Any brakes here ...or do I need to swing by hammer to create one?
Reidel shear faults haven’t heard of that since structure (3 years ago) 😂😂😂
I’m in the Harris lake area of pointe au baril, Ontario. Would like to chat with you in further depth about reading geology charts for panning gold.

Don’t all those mines leach poison into the ground and lakes from tailings ponds

Yup, yet again another case where greed and capital gains trump care for the environment.
