This is a perfect example of what to look for especially on hillsides that feed into rivers or creeks. For part #1 in the series watch this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/dJuGz7FyY6Szd7A.html and make sure to smash that like button .....smash it HARD ! and let us know if you have better techniques. Incomplete reply did not mention using gravity as the gauge and I found bullet lead in gold/quartz veins in Arizona that were done for discouraging any pospector from digging there. That may not be illegal, but it sure is immoral.

Exactly. I`m just sittin around on a Sunday morning but after watchin his video I`m all pumped up on the inside and want to hit the hills. I live relatively near Kirkland Lake area and keep thinkin there must be some places out there in the bush that are still open to pail and shovel weekend gold warriors. Thinkin about gettin into the gold huntin game is sorta like standin around looking down a big open bottomless hole and debating about whether to go in or not knowing that once you go in you might get sucked right in and who knows what may happen. GOLD!
Just like when i was a kid sunday morning cartoons but now its Sunday morning Au starring Jeff Williams. Thanks you for sharing brother be safe out there 🙏

Thank you for the exceedingly informative video. I am retired and have always wanted to do metal detecting and gold panning. With you information I believe that I will start this year. I can't afford a metal detector but, I can at least do some panning. Again, thank you I will recommend your site/videos to everyone I know.

that was really neat being able to see it. if i could move around i'd love to look around to see what i could find.

Jeff, as you well know, gold is often found near lead. Gold is twice as heavy as lead but they're both pretty heavy. I had a chance to go metal detecting near Rich Hill in Arizona one time. The field we worked was down below what used to be "Bordello Row". The men would get drunk at the saloons and would shoot their guns into the field. Sure enough, all I found were bullets.
I observed in life, after age 5 all we want from life, is to get back to the kindergarten. He made it.
SO cool! Love your Energy & Funny Sayings. :) Thx.
Definitely great video
Dunno if I ever said here but I have a property that gets the run offs from a place called mineral county In West Virginia. I have yet to investigate for any gold but I do have the equipment finally at the location. Jeff, this video answered a lot of questions and you answered my comments before I could writ ethem. glad we could do that for you
From Malaysia, I love your job.
I have found out in the past 5 years that if I find lead shot or bullets in an area where it looks like someone was digging or if a hunting camp was setup. To pan that area. Don't use a metal detector, but pan. 90% of the time I have found gold in those spots. Old timers and some hunters that prospect will cover an area with shot pellets, spent casings, shot bullets into the ground to hide the gold they found from others that might be metal detecting. Most metal detecting people will see the bullets or shot or the casings and walk by and not even detect the area or pan it because they think it is a target area. So remember that if you are in an area and you find lead bullets in one particular area. Dig up the dirt and test it before moving on.

@@Askjeffwilliamsin the back country a lot of the old timers had mined too much gold over 2 seasons than they could carry back to civilization. I'm itching to get my eyes on some 1890s cabins in the Yukon and look around some 'low spots' or soil depressions for buried dust they'd intended to come back for. (I think after 140 yrs its safe to say they aren't coming back for it)

I found an old cabin. At first I didn't see it,it wasn't until I climbed up a little higher and looked down and there it was. I actually looking for an old Indian picture. My great grandfather had a map of the area. He explained to me what to look for. It took me 2 years, but I found the cabin and then the old mine shaft. And the 3 bogus graves that hid guns, gold, and clothes. No none of that was there now expect for old torn clothes. But the mine shaft is still in tacked. This spring I will be going back and spending the entire summer there.
Congrats Jeff, love to see you get that look in your eyes GOLD FEVER yea!!!

I love the fish line lol, found a hole in the wall along a creek and dug in it SO MANY baby fish started swimming around. And ther3 was also gold 😅
1st time viewer and 1st time comment: I am two months away from my sixtieth birthday. I don't think I have ever felt this particular type of just down-right stupid in my life. When I was eight or so, my brother and I 'panned' for gold day and night for almost a week during a family vacation out west. We WERE in a location known for good panning. We had gotten our "equipment" at Walmart, the plastic bucket, shovel, and pan (with holes in the bottom of it). No wonder we didn't find anything. I guess mom and dad were as uneducated on the subject as my brother and I. It's either that or they didn't like us much. LOL
God bless you. Love the videos you make. Im new to this world and Hope to do some prospecting this summer when I have time off work. :)

The trout like to use low pressure zones to rest and or ambush. Hooked every trout ive ever caught so far in front of and behind boulders, and had five back to back hook sets casting across a river to a side feeding creek, undercut banks, etc. All of which his 3D model video prove to be great deposition zones.

Really small. Maube 2 carrets again not 100% sure amazing colors, when light hit its very bright with some beautiful colors as well reflcting on the dimanond

@@Askjeffwilliams i will definitely do that just haven't had the time, found it last Saturday, the quartz rock i found first then the little diamomd earring after, saw this shiny thing in between rocks and the lil boy inside my heart went coooool lol wiped the dirt off and looked like silver almost metallic flakes mixed it with the quartz soft smooth part but the inside looks like some gold or maybe the piece I found belonged to a bigger quarts rock, again I'm no expert as for me is listening to experts in the field as yourself. Just gain knowledge and wisdom and with time and experience I'll get better at it. It inst that big it's maybe about 4 inches long and weighs about maybe less then 10 ounces, but it was my first rock, definitely holding on to that for long as I can, goodluck charm/ sentimental value, It lit a fire underneath my brain and it's all I wanna do now when I have free time, go fora long hike get lost for a bit and fimd some cool rare rocks, calms me down alot and comforts me, It's pretty damn cool too. and I've always loved nature, animals, the beauty of mother nature herself. Thanks for your response as well, as I will definitely do that, new to your channel under recommended and it's going to help me out a lot, what rocks to look for what not, colors all that good stuff. New to this man new to the rock hounding community lol. I love it though already.

This is awesome. I can imagine an old west shootout over gold claims. Hard men in those time. Very exciting video.
Awesome video Jeff! You remind me of me back in the 80's when I did a lot of prospecting in Virginia! I bought a backpack dredge and did pretty good, but a lot of physical work! LOL. I worked the hillside and gulleys, etc. Did a lot of sampling. Then I found a nice nugget for that area , about the half the size of a Dime. In a small tributary I located a nice Quartz vein. As I traced it in a hillside it kept getting wider and wider. I broke some off and sent to a lab to be assayed. It was 3/4 ounce per ton of Silver and a !/4 ounce of Gold per Ton. I still have the GPS coordinated for that vein. Is that valuable today? Later I became a Metal Detector Engineer (retired) but never went back there. Keep up the inspiring Videos Jeff.
