@@real1963 I am from Kotte, Kotte is the official and administrative capital while Colombo is the commercial capital and largest city

The capital of Tanzania is Dodoma. Dar es salaam is the biggest city but not the capital, Dodoma has been the capital since 1973 before that it was Dar es salaam. Greetings from a Dutchman who has lived in Tanzania❤️🇹🇿🇳🇱

Dar es Salaam for Tanzania and Lagos for Nigeria really messed with me when I attempted this challenge, because I _knew_ neither of them were the capital but they were both the only cities that came to my mind despite my best efforts.

For the Seychelles you probably thought about Mahe, which is the name of the biggest island of the Seychelles. But their capital has always been Victoria.

One of my favorite quizzes. Jetpunk always keep me sharp with geography knowledge.

I managed 163 before giving up. The one that I spent ages on was Brunei, I just couldn't spell it and it was so infuriating. I knew the Sri Lanka one and I should have probably just typed in Kotte and it would have accepted it but I was trying to spell the Sri Jayawardenapura bit and gave up. My Uganda moment though was with St Lucia. I have seen every freakin' photosphere of St Lucia, I feel I could make my way around the capital without a map and find my way and recognise most of the stores, and I could not for the life of me remember the name. Just realised that KZread comments are now italicised, you are the recipient of my first italicised comment. 🙂

This is such a great first attempt. I always thought I had a reasonable knowledge about geography and capital cities, but when I first tried this last year I only got ~50.

SJK is the textbook answer teach in schools and thats where the parliment is. But even among the natives, Colombo is considered the commercial/modern day capital.

Freetown is Sierra Leone, Monrovia is the capital of Liberia. Also, I would share my “trick” for remembering Benin and Togo but it’s significantly more confusing than it is useful.

something i learned for costa rica and puerto rico is that their capitals are both san j___, and then the next vowel in the capital name is the same vowel as in the countries name (example, san jOse cOsta rica, san jUan pUerto rico)

The selection of the capitals is a mess. How does Taiwan has a capital while Transnistria and SADR etc. doesn't.

I can barely tell the difference between the colours of the dots, transparent organge to transparent green was a poor colour choice lol
