I think they play fake noises in the US. Like WWE.

This point in his career, I see him show that uppercut early, get the guy thinking.

WOW ,GGG ! ! Watching him slip & block 90% + of his opponents punches was a JOY TO WATCH, WOW ! ! ! !

GGG had been hitting Gomis with hooks to the body since round two and it seemed that he couldn't take any more.

ggg was not as aggressive as he is now his trainer now has taught him very well

That left hook at 1:02 or so that hurts Gomis is just so smooth, quick, and short by GGG... I feel like we haven't seen that punch the last two years, and I'm not sure he can throw it that quickly and effortlessly anymore, without needing to set his feet and really wind it up, which doesn't work at the top level of boxing. The way he just unleashes it out of almost nothing here, I wonder if that's something he's lost with age?

Interesting how Golovkin approached this: some defensive bobbing and weaving, which we don't see much of now, and in the second round, just placing punches -- until he finished it off, but with no conspicuous display of force.

+BlackJackMulligan boxrec has changed that in 2015 before that it was listed as a fight at 154 and i saw him life boxing in berlin neukölln 7 years ago with a weight of 158 limit 160 so your info is not true

Gomis is actually a pretty decent boxer, but eventually he felt that raw GGG power...end of story!!!

Danny D He looks to be retired. He hasnt fought in about a year. And 50% knockouts? Why would he duck him? He's fighting a guy on Saturday with a monster record.

gomis did pretty well again GGG. at that time gennady didn't use the counters as well as now, and gomis jabs annoyed him. at the GGG hurt him but i can't see with which punch he took him down

Les entraineurs ne devraient pas avoir le droit de coacher les boxeurs pendant un combat, sauf bien sûr entre les rounds, lorsque le boxeur est assis sur son tabouret. Ce n'est pas de l'entrainement, c'est un combat officiel. Je ne comprends pas, là dans cette vidéo on n'entend que l'entraineur français et c'est perturbant pour le déroulement du combat.

Dont be silly. Its evident this is one of the first fights on the undercard as the place is half empty. That's why its quiet. We cheer in the UK ffs! Some of the best boxing shows in the world happen all across Europe all the time and crowds are amazing...

German crowd is normally very enthusiastic but this was one of GGG´s first fights as PRO in 2006...No one Knows him at that time and the mainevent was 3 hours later.(felix sturm vs gavin Topp).

+0532MOET Believe me, I don't think payment was necessary. In the last few punches, Golovkin threw a counter right hand that landed flush, left hook then a straight. Guy must have either been really dizzy or just didn't want to continue.

Joe Bloh Never seen GGG hit as much as he was by Kassim Ouma......that guy did really, really well and could even have been said to be winning the fight based on punches landed. The difference was punching power. in the last couple of rounds he was hurt and his eyes were swelling shut. But watching that made me think of Pac and how well he could avoid GGG. Kassim did a great job of laterally moving, preventing GGG from centering shots and making him miss a lot. The only thing he didn't do that Pac could is keep on the outside and jump in.......this guy stayed in the pocket a lot, but was getting caught, particularly as he tired. Pac has the power to bust someone up more than this guy did if he hit him half as much. Golovkin did show a great chin here, considering the amount of flush head shots he took.........great fight. Maybe GGG's defence has tightened up, this was prior to teaming up with current manager and trainer. However it was only less than four years and ten fights ago.... I checked out Ouma's record and he'd been KO'd 12 years earlier in the infancy of his career and his other losses were all close calls where he came out on the short end of SD's and close UD's....good fighter. Gabriel "I'll make my excuses" Rosado only squeaked by him on a hair-line SD.

AquaBoogieBaby Did you notice a white towel fluttering into the ring? That was Rosado's corner. Afterwards they showed his trainer screaming at Rosado's dad,"I gotta stop the fight, your son's gonna die in there man!", then he jumped up onto the ring apron and threw the towel in whilst Golovkin was still battering Rosado, Kellerman was shouting at the referee to,"Get in there!". Watch it again and don't switch off before you see the clip they show you of what was going on in Rosado's corner just prior to the stoppage.

AquaBoogieBaby It means split decision which is why he 'squeaked by him'.......It was a close fight which could have gone either way........so he squeaked by, a close call, not a wide margin. You're the guy saying Rosado was only stopped on a cut by Golovkin, when his corner actually threw the towel in. That wasn't 'squeaking by' but rather a clear win.
