A beautifully restored product, very good thanks to the skillful hands of your workers. It is very difficult to refurbish this stone lathe. A lot of effort and determination. Congratulations and welcome. You do not carry a 30kg moving center rack, but need to use a chain hoist. The old motor's fan blade broke and you didn't replace it, didn't repair it, but painted it beautifully. Why, jigs Why don't you wrap the piston in paper and paint it? Thank you for sharing

I think the title really should be changed to reflect the video, "Happy-go-lucky Boy Destroys Automatic Stone Cutting Machine // Failed Restoration Project You Probably Should Give A Miss" would be more apt. Reminds me of MTVs Pimp My Ride, most of the cars there never survived a year of use, and watching the show it was noticeable to car-people that they would not. It is not fun for me to see people destroy useful things for views, I wish there was some warning tag for such content.

What fluid are they using to clean the parts after sanding and removing rust? I really hope that's not degreasing solvent they put through those motor windings. Hopefully just soap and water? But then no rinse? And don't get me started on their electrical work. I would have expected them to go through the contactors in the control boxes that could have burned out coils, completely pitted and burned contacts. They reused all the original wiring and just twisted those wires together and taped them--no crimp lugs or anything. Pretty crappy electrical work. I am surprised by how critical some of the comments are below, but I am surprised after so much hard work to see no care taken to protect the new paint during reassembly--they just beat the hell out of everything with hammers and ruin that new paint.

@@jimrobin98 I wish I could say that everyone in the US cares about a finished product. But owned two houses in 23 years, and in both of them I keep finding work done either poorly, or completely wrong by either previous owners or contractors who've done work over the years--and in some cases fire and/or electrical shock safety hazards. I'm learning that people do the same thing with small engine equipment like lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws... People buy totaled cars and cobble them together with baling wire and Band-Aids into clap-trap death traps. That's not to say that none of them COULD BE correctly repaired, but what I'm talking about are the ones that are NOT correctly repaired because of cost.

I also noticed how he does it. He hammered those parts that he had painted so perfectly that the paint separated and you can see the impact marks. It looks like it's damaged and scratched. It's a pity, and at first it was good, but the composition is not to be praised.

This guy does a good job of restoring rusty machinery, but his spray-painting only gives a very thin layers of paint, and speaking as an electrical engineer, pouring any kind of fluid directly into electric motors is a very bad idea. He also doesn't tighten bolts properly, and as for joining cables with insulation tape......

To call this "Restored" does a dis-service to the word. Although I can say, "it was worn out before and after he cleaned and painted it, it's still worn out". If this guy is a genius, how come he didn't repair the pulley he broke during disassembly?

And why didn’t he use penetrating fluid on any of the things he was taking apart. This guy is nothing but a hammer mechanic, and I’m being generous! Also that rickety ass A frame he was using in all probability wasn’t rated for something that heavy, and I doubt that those bearings he installed by beating the crap out of the will last a month!
