S2j making Armada sweat . Not too many people can do that.

Crazy that the biggest story of the year so far isn't that armada lost to some one outside the top 5, but that someone even took him to game 5. Just doing that is newsworthy. Johnny is just 1 of 3 non top 5 to take armada to game 5 Honestly scary to think about. But armada is the goat. Johnny played so well, and I root for Johnny. But Dam armada's consistency is beautiful

I think part of the reason this is so huge is that it wasn't Plup, SFAT, or Westballz who took him to game 5, it was freaking S2J.

Born2Run wrong. Fuzzy at Beast I I, Axe at Eclipse, Hax at Justice 4, Ice at Eclipse 2, S2J at Genesis 4. all of those Armada won 3-2.

Oocities Armada has a better record overall, people that claim Mang0 is the goat are mostly fanboys. Mang0 is an incredible player and imo the most entertaining to watch, but he’s not the goat.

Ok, even though it would've been *way* more hype if S2J won, it is still pretty hype that Armada won. This man's *insane* consistency is absolutely ridiculous, and whenever he takes it to game 5 and still manages to win, it just reminds you how good he is and how he refuses to let his record against anyone but the very best be tarnished. What a legend. Also, S2J did fuckin amazing and I truly believe that he is one of the people with the best chances to pull off the upset of the year next time they face off.

God, so close. I feel like a stomp instead of that knee to end game 3 could have clutched it, but hindsight's always 20/20. I hate to say I felt it was over after game 3, but I did. S2J played his absolute heart out, and you really have to, to keep up with Armada like he did. Amazing job Johnny, go far in losers.

I've been watching for five years now since the day after EVO 2013. Throughout that time, I've been learning more and more about the game. This set has inspired me to finally start learning all of the tech skills and such in order for my Falcon to compete. Thank you Johnny for showing me Falcon can do it.

this really had me feel as tense as Hbox vs. Armada at Evo. Like Homemade Waffles said in a later set, it really felt like Johnny had to win 3-0 or else Armada would take it. S2J is a legend... his movement is ridiculous

When this set first started I didn't really care. Armada 3-0 S2j whatever. But as the set progresses, Johnny took game 1, and then game 2. At that point I was shivering. He can't do it can he? Then he bustered out game 3. At that point it was over.

Was it really 7 years ago? This set is so legendary, I always keep coming back to it.

That’s not a few pixels away please, it wasn’t close to hitting, and even if it did it looks like it would’ve reversed, which wouldn’t have led to a KO at all

S2J played out of his fucking mind dude. So glad I randomly tuned in to the stream to see this.

Johnny was almost a legend.. The last game gave me a heart attack

I remember coming back to the stream when Armada was down a game, and I thought "Nah, he's good." But when he went down 2-0, my heart sank. Gosh, what an intense set. Mad respect to S2J, but phenomenal work by Armada: staying composed, keeping calm, and bringing it back. Easily one of the highlights of Genesis 4. Then again, we've got Mang0-Armada coming up in just a few hours...

I watched this on my break at work, and I only got through games 1 and 2 and I wish that I had only seen that. Still props to both players, S2J is my favorite player, and I feel that he'll beat a god soon

This set perhaps more than Grand Finals shows why he is the best to ever touch a controller. The mental fortitude to stay calm and come back when S2J was going nuts is unbelievable.

once someone gets this close to slaying a god, it always means that their time will come soon

At right after 16:57 S2J jumps offstage and you hear the WHOLE crowd go "ohh" and literally conveying the disappointment Johnny must have felt in that exact moment. I have never seen a crowd this into it in a while. This match is gonna go down as one of the greatest matches of all time.

This and Mango v Leffen sets = hypest shit of 2017 so far.

S2J bringing the hype this soon. This could be his year. (although he's out already by Axe)

S2J had to 3-0 Armada to win. Once Armada won the third game, I knew S2J wasn't going to make it.

This is such a perfect parallel to Super Bowl LI (2017). Falcon leads first two quarters (2 games to 0; 21-3 at halftime). Then Armada (favored to win) brings it back to tie it up (2 games to 2 games, 28-28 after four quarters) Then overtime (5th quarter), the 5th deciding match. Falcon(s) lose in a heartbreaker. Armada/Pats crowned this year's (Super Bowl/Genesis) champion.
