Hey mate, I'm looking at purchasing a 7012B for one of my older vehicles and this video was exactly what I was looking for. It goes over all the features and some pros/cons of real-world usage. Thanks for uploading this!

I just got one of these 7018B head units, it actually works really well! I got mine with a back up camera included for 35$ on eBay. One thing about these, the interfaces vary from vendor to vendor. None of which are bad, but it's a roll of the dice. I believe it's just different generations of the unit itself, who knows. All of the features work well, it has a better screen and overall interface/features than my 80$ planet audio in my other car. The only thing I can say about them is, they definitely don't put out a huge amount of power (obviously, considering price) mine starts to crackle as early as Volume 20 out of i believe 40. With the bass low I can get to volume 25 without any crackling (which is pretty loud honestly, my car is just loud so I have to fight the rusty exhaust 🤣). It is CLEAR audio, has bass, treble and audio placement settings. Everything you might need. I'm going to check out the phone connection tomorrow, I'm hoping it works 🤞 For the price, FANTASTIC stereo. Good amount of features/settings, good sound. Great for 95% of drivers out there! If you were trying to build an audio system with this guy, you would definitely need an amp. If your car is LOUD, it might be a tad quieter than you'd like it to be. Like I said, 95% of people would be good with this. I am a part of that 95%! I love it!

I agree, If you just wanna head unit to have some radio or background music, like most people do, yes the unit is just fine, but if you work with audio and like clear loud music, get something like avic-f80, worth every cent.

For the price this Car stereo is great. the sound is on par if not better than my old Pioneer single din CD/MP3 player and definitely better than my Sony. Does what it says on the box. Not sure what video format is being used in this review, but there are other KZread reviews where the guy was playing movies. Thanks for this review as you showed me how to change the logo, which I did not see in the other reviews.

Just got it..didn't see this video prior..not bad install..I have yet to hook up the reverse cam..install was in a 2003 pathfinder.(alittle bigger then factory radio had to drive) several mm to get it to fit

I lately installed one i thought i will be junk as a 35$ radio all the sudden its was more loud than my branded old radio loud and nice sound!!

The pink is to put the screen into reverse camera mode which overrides whatever mode you are in.

You are stating that this stereo does not have Bluetooth, which is not true! Iy does have Bluetooth! By the way I am using this Stereo (7018B) in both of my cars and they are working really well, the older one for more then 3 years now! Pretty good for this price!

I’m glad you’re enjoying this low quality sound. Unfortunately product made that cheap with glitches and horrible touch screen is not acceptable to me. I’d rather spend $2000 and get a high end pioneer unit.

For sure I would prefer a $2000 Pioneer unit to this one, no question! But when I see that I get the 7018B on China for about $16 tp $18 it's like comparing a Dacia to a Rolls Royce. For the money spent it is surely a good offer, especially if you use the Bluetooth with your cell phone and so hardly ever use the touch screen. If you need more power you can add an amp. For my budget it's an ok low price solution@@MaxELECTRONICS

you get what you pay for in this world you buy a cheap radio you get cheap sound do yourself a favor and spend a few bucks more for a quality Kenwood Pioneer JVC anything but something that is cheap and Chinese if you’re going to spend $30 on your head unit which is the start of any good quality system you’re already fucking up system is only as good as it’s signal source no offense and I say this with all politeness no offense, but I would love to hear the rest of your radio if you’re swearing by this damn $30 unit I imagine your car sounds like a rumpke garbage truck loud annoying it just sounds like Just a bunch of loud ruckus that’s great you’re loud but it sounds like butt hole

@@elflaco8754 Yes, working fine, even with the phone, and that for almost 4 years now. That's not bad for a cheap Chinese car stereo.

I installed the 7018B to my 2006 Sentra. It works just fine except. It has radio interference signal when I play in Bluetooth of MP3 music mode. How to fix the problem? What is the current firmware update for this radio? My version: V7.52BT-FK-TP.

I installed mine last night. My movies were playing. Check the resolution of the ones you tried. Those that worked were standard high definition or less

Good info. I am working on installing backup cam. Are you saying the pink wire need to tap into red wire (AAC Red) 9:35 then add the red wire from the provided backup cam? Sorry newby here. Thank you!

No, the “reverse” wire and camera power wire need to connect to “positive “ wire of your reverse lamp. So when reverse light is on it supplies power to the “reverse” wire of stereo and to power wire of camera.

I have the 7018b , my corvette came with it when I bought it and after it would just turn off randomly. I just bought new one same brand and installed it and it worked for one day and now it won’t turn on again… all wire is right and still nothing I’m starting to think they are just bad from the go

The 3.5mm jack is for ext mic. In the rare instance a FW update is available that's done over SD/USB.

I just bought this model for an old pickup truck & I’m hoping mine works when I hook it up because my expectations aren’t very high for $40 😆.

I just bought one of these to replace the stock radio in my Nissan Sentra. It does everything advertised except for the mirror link. I can't get that working but I love the rest of it. The manual that comes with it sucks but thanks to this video I'm able to change the color of my buttons the way I wanted. 😂

@@beatprocess no he meant that the ad said it will show your phones display on the radio if you connect it to your phone cable but it didnt show The Bluetooth works fine

I have one of these, and love it. I have had i for years and didn't k ow about the LOGO change. Thank you. I do have a question and I hope you can awsner it. Mine does not have the Mirror link nor Steering wheel button. Even those the box and manual said it suports it. Do you know a way to get those? If I plug in a OTG cable and connect my phone nothign happens.

First I see Model no.: 7018, but on a box side is specification of 7010B (whatever the difference is) and when you open the box here is a model 7012B :) XD Can anybody tell me what are specification diferences betwen these models? I see just face buttons differences between 7010B and 7012/7018B

Great video, I have a issue with the volume, when I turn on the car the volume keeps increasing on its own to the highest possible volume. I try to low the volume by steering wheel keys and also from the stereo itself but no luck. I am unable to click on any settings. It freezes on the screen which has the volume. Can you help fixing this please?

Measure resistance on steering control, try unplugging steering control and see if that fixes the issue

Yes there’s setting in the menu to make it brighter, check that “auto night mode” is off. Mine definitely has the brightness setting, it has this symbol: 🔆

You might have your Battery and ACC wires wrong way around, (yellow and red) switch them around

Sometimes the code is different. Some other guy here on YT typed in 1986 ..

Every model is different, FW can change drastically depending on mfg date/seller even with same model #. The Factory PIN code is typically printed in the manual.

Just select the Bluetooth mode, there is no off/on like on the phone or computer.

Only the mirror link or Bluetooth, it’s a $50 stereo, don’t expect much from it.

The 7018 has CP/AA. Can't lump the 7010/12/18 models together. Features are very different.

Hello 👋 I have the same device. But I have a problem, everytime I start the car the device start playing fm audio with extremely loud volume. I would set the volume to 4, and turn off the car, and when I start the car again the volume is automatically set to 20 which is very very loud. Could you maybe help me with this issue?

Did you connect red and yellow wire together? if not, do that. One is power suply, and another is for memory, and also must always have + (plus) from the battery

Dado is correct, I only joined them together for a demonstration so I can power it up, in reality you need (+) connected to the battery permanently for main supply, memory ect, amd the (ACC) one to your ignition (accessories) this is just a mosfet trigger to turn on the radio.

The sellers on eBay claim these have a capacitive screen and Bluetooth connectivity. Just saying...

@@MaxELECTRONICS I don't think they have Boot LOGO anymore. I cannot find any of these with that feature now. I wonder if they got done for copyright infringement or similar. It's a pity because I think that Branding made the unit more integrated with the car.
