Gene Therapy Basics

Gene therapy has been studied for more than 40 years and can help stop or slow the effects of disease on the most basic level of the human body-our genes. And to understand how it works, we’ll start at the basics.

    should gene therapy be limited to medical concerns only (e.g., curing diseases) or could it be used as well for aesthetic purposes to enhance basic human traits such as height, intelligence, or athletic ability? Why do you say so?

  • @abdullahmertozdemir9437

    @abdullahmertozdemir9437

    Ай бұрын

    treatment of medical concerns already enhances basic human traits you mentioned to a certain degree. People with IBD for example will be able to think more clearly and perform better physically during remission periods, permanently eliminating such a disease would indirectly enhance those abilities also. No idea about height, but Bryan Johnson recently shared a video of him getting gene therapy mostly for physical enhancement. He has shared the increase in his muscle percentage etc. You may want to see the video

    @@dablackxican5978 Experts say it is The differece between a vaccin and gene therapy is: A vaccine is injected in your muscle and it stays there. Gene therapy is injected in your blood vessel. A vaccine doesn't need as much research as gene therapy (that why they got approval, this gene therapy needed to be injected asap) A vaccine and gene therapy need to be tested for a long time In my small country there are 1700 doctors which formed a group. They found out what's injected. They strongly advice to really really REALLY think about choosing to take this. In my small country most are vaccinated. Our deaths per week are more than last year during the pandemic.

    They wanna add genetic coding to your already existing DNA. That coding will permanently alter your genetics for life. How that will effect you in the long run is also unknown. Genetic therapy could basically tell your body to grow a third arm, if they figured out the right genetic coding. However your body will be producing the spike proteins for COVID in this case. Your body will make its own COVID virus using your own body’s natural abilities. Let’s see how that works out….
