Gene Simmons of Kiss signing the very last Bass he played at the very last Kiss show!

Ойын-сауық

it was a very exciting, fun and tiring weekend. After meeting with Paul to get all of my guitars, signed that he used on tour, we went and met with Gene so he could sign my bass. This is the very last bass Gene will ever play on stage with Kiss. They did a beautiful job and there’s a beautiful little plaque on the back saying that it’s the last base to be played by kissing concert. Lots of people have made comments about oh you can’t hide money and it must be nice to be rich. I have nothing to be ashamed of. I bust my ass every single day week after week to be able to buy these works of art. I feel very lucky and grateful.! The Kiss end of the road tour has come to an end. The end of an era!

Just jealous, insecure, and miserable people. Geno is a very good man and beautiful human being, both Him and His Family. I know his story and read abiut it quite a while back. Geno fought battles in life that most people would lose. He never gave up, and he became a better man and person because of it. All of these preconceived ideas that people have, regarding how easy Geno's life was, are very distorted and inaccurate. The man works and talks business from when he wakes up, to when he goes to bed. When most people are having after work cocktails or beers, Geno is still grinding and working. Nobody gave him Anything. He's selfmade and has worked his ass off for everything he has. He earned it through Hard Work. Geno and I have somethings in common, regarding personal battles, that we were both highly blessed to make it out of. I love Geno and His Family to death, and wish them all of the prosperity, wealth, and good health he can get out of life. We are all owed What We Work Hard For. No More. No Less. Much love and respect for you, Geno. I admire the hell out of you and look up to you. You have an amazing story. From Sonny Seabury in New Orleans, La.

@@smokeybear5460 How so? You'd be hard pressed to ever find a band that has been so good to their fans as KISS. They've always recognized they are where they are and KISS is what is because of the fans. As far as the merch and the money, there's something for everyone. KISS, their music, and the fans have done something you'll never see again in any band or music. I think even the critics who despise the band recognize this.

Thank you to the family for this video! That's what I call a bass! I think John Entwistle (R.I.P.) would have liked the shape of it as he had a big armor collection. Here's what I'd do: I'd get a guitar builder to spray a few layers of clear coat over the back to protect the signature. Imagine letting someone play this actual bass on a recording session for an album, that would be pretty cool! Just letting people play it would be awesome! Gene is without a doubt one of the greatest rock n' roll bassists. His bass lines were always fun and creative.

I actually got to play one of John Entwistles basses....it was fluke meeting with his nephew after a gig of mine. He took me back to his place and he pulled the bass out of the flight case....it was his red Buzzard bass. The body was cracked because his nephew told me John got in an argument with Roger Daltrey at a soundcheck he threw it on the ground before stomping off the stage 😂

The guy cant help but touch your ass Simmons! He'd have needed to stand six feet away to not touch it, its that big, bit like your head! From a former KISS fan, yes and my very first concert as a 17 yr old KISS at the Glasgow Appolo 27th October 1983 lol! As an 18th birthday present i also went to Brussels to see the same show basically 13th November 1983. My birthday is 25th November, so it csme early. One thing i do wish id never lost was this 12 inch single of "Creatures of the night, and Rock n Roll all nite" and both the songs were on one side, the other side was blank, and signed by Gene, Paul, Ace and most importantly "Wee Eric Carr" Rest in Peace! Such a humble young man.x.

I'm honestly shocked they haven't thought of grooming Nick and Evan to replace their dad's to play with Tommy and Eric which each have a good 10yrs left. I think fans would pay to see the bloodline continue this party. They would be big shoes to fill but wheather we like it or not Tommy and Eric made it possible for KISS to continue for the last 2 decades or so they are absolutely part of this history of the success of the band. I definitely think it's not over and I'm not talking holograms.

How are you shocked? Nick has sung a coup,e songs here and there but I don’t classify him as a musician. Evan has bigger dreams of his own than to play his dad in his dads band…..personally, I think it’d be a huge disservice to have their kids “groomed” into kiss. They have their own lives.

@ADuckOnQuack97 I absolutely agree with you they do have their own lives and aspirations I'm sure but kiss stopped being a band a long time ago. It's a brand a billion dollar brand. Just saying if they wanted to keep the live shows going to give generations to come the actual experience of being at a Kiss show. You will never ever see a live show like that again and it's something if you have a chance should experience once in your lifetime. To me it would be better than holograms no matter how good they look. But yes I agree they have their own lives but would be a better option than looking for cover band replacements if they thought of bringing live shows back down the road. It's pretty much been the same shows for the last 2 decades

Why did he have him to sign the back of the base? If it's ever played the signature will get rubbed off. And if it's on display, the signature won't ever be seen unless it's in a see through case that you can walk around. Even Gene was taken back but said, you're the boss.

These guitars I buy from Paul and the bases that I buy from Gene are not one time played, they’re usually played over years or for a special show. They do not just sign them. They write little messages or song, lyrics or best wishes, or what makes that guitar special as well as signing it. There’s not that much room on the front and it would look like shit and take away from the look of the beautiful guitar. That’s why they write on the back of them for me. Have you ever gone to Hardrock and seen a guitar on display with writing all over the front of it?

These guitars I buy from Paul and the bases that I buy from Gene are not one time played, they’re usually played over years or for a special show. They do not just sign them. They write little messages or song, lyrics or best wishes, or what makes that guitar special as well as signing it. There’s not that much room on the front and it would look like shit and take away from the look of the beautiful guitar. That’s why they write on the back of them for me. Have you ever gone to Hardrock and seen a guitar on display with writing all over the front of it?
