I’m a Millennial and there used to be these late night CD compilation commercials on Nickelodeon and her music used to be all over them, so I’ve loved her since I was a child even though she’s generations my senior. She was amazing. She used to sing and her brother would write the songs, like Billie Eilesh and her brother.

Richards extreme talents were often overlooked due to Karen's beauty, ANGELIC voice, and superb drumming. His composing, arrangements, conducting and addition of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to this, made it a masterpiece. Love the sound of those French Horns! But I must admit, over 50 years later, and Karen's voice still cuts to my core. Encapsulates my whole being. Mind, body and soul. Still brings a tear to my eye. RIP KAREN! Enjoyed your reaction. Please check out "This Masquerade". Also written by the late, great Leon Russell. RIP LEON! Karen's drum solos are also definitely worth checking out!

Sadly, Karen left us way too soon. It's been said that she has been teaching the angels how to sing. She has the purest singing voice I have ever heard. No matter how many times I listen to her, I still get all teary-eyed. We are so fortunate that she left us her beautiful music.

Like many teenagers in the 70's...I had several Carpenter Albums. We've Only Just Begun was sung at our wedding...like so many couples did back then. When she died after a long battle with ANOREXIA...their music died. Her Brother ended up writing songs I believe...since he had lost his sister, his singing partner and likely his best friend. Karen was only 32 when she died in 1983. Like many fans...I was heartbroken at the news.

Hi Princess, you are journeying down the Carpenters rabbit hole, beautifully. Her voice was like no other, now or since. That said I don’t think you’ve done We’ve Only Just Begun. That song really setup how well the harmonies were when done by Carpenters. So I recommend that song and the classic video with Karen sitting in the letter “U” in the YOU set. There is another. While not 100% Karen, Tori Holub is getting noticed (including by Richard Carpenter) as a voice of this generation who can sing songs of the 60’s - 80’s. She has the sound that does justice to those songs, especially Carpenters songs. In March she and her collaborator James Wilkas released on March 2nd (Karen’s birthday in heaven 🙏) their rendition of We’ve Only Just Begun. While no one can ever be Karen, also no one can ever be Tori. At 20 she was the youngest invited singer to the Carpenters 55th Anniversary Celebration in April. That should say something. I hope after listening to the Carpenters version, you do a comparison. On another note. It’s mostly unnecessary to block the video of Carpenters songs. There are many reactions up and running with open video. Also the one I’m linking is an independent and doesn’t need to be blocked either. It is also very important to see the video clearly as you will understand when you watch it. It it to this point the best cover of any Carpenters song ever. It needs to be seen. Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoy this treasure hunt. Joe kzread.info/dash/bejne/fG1pzsiDodKfhrw.htmlsi=wP61BvtKMoMuHerR .

Enough to seem the same and interpret differently. That's the problem with the Bible.
