When I saw this performance for the first time, I realized my heart and soul are now with this girl on her way. For 5 years I have been supporting her as much as I can, because there are no artists like her and she is unique in her own way. In this performance she is only 14 years old, now she is 19. During these 5 years she has made many interesting performances, covers and songs.

The song "rechenka" (affectionate from the word "river") is a Russian folk ritual wedding song. There is a version that this song appeared before Christianity, and since early Christianity and paganism were closely intertwined, there are many versions of this song. It tells how an orphan girl comes to the river and prays to the spirits of nature. The song is about how my mother, father and brothers were killed by enemies, there is no one to take care of her. The river in Ancient Russia was considered the border between the world of the living and the dead. You hear an ominous whisper, it's the spirit of her late mother responding to the girl's crying. There are about 30 variants of this song, but the content of each of the variants is based on the sad appeals of the orphan bride to her deceased parents, asking them for "blessings" and help for marriage, for family, to strangers. There are other versions of this song, where the heroine appeals to her brothers and even to her parents with a call to return to earth in the form of a bird to her native home. At the end of the song, the girl sails away to a strange tribe, to a strange family. The roots of the song go back to ancient Russia, it is a very, very ancient folk folklore.

At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana is as talented as she is unique....shes an natural stage performer and shes still growing as an artist, as a Brit🇬🇧 my first reaction on seeing wicked game and then this, was wow im looking at a modern day Russian Kate Bush...yes with a different sonic spectrum but also that wonderful dramatic shamanistic vibe ... This song was the 3rd song she sang in this project that featured orphans and disadvantaged children. Derniere Danse (In French) and James Brown's It's a Man's World (In English) were the first two songs she sang. She won it btw.

Enjoyed this very much. Diana is flat-out remarkable! "Crow" is another great one. So many super performances! "Human" (RagNBone Man) is in English and from the same show series as "Rechenka" as well as "Wicked Game' (Chris Isaak) which also English.

Hi guys, one of you said that it doesn't matter to him what the lyrics of the songs performed by Diana mean. And I do not agree with this, words are important like music, and like body language, all this combined by the performer makes you not just hear, it makes you carry it through your soul.Knowing what the lyrics of the song are about allows you to dive deeper into emotions, and in the performance of such a magical singer as Diana, believe me it is important!!! You can sing a song "technically" correctly and without a soul, but that's not what she does, she somehow lives every song, carries it with her voice through the soul and heart...If you hear her singing in Russian, what will you understand, nothing, but you will hear her sing the yodel correctly "technically", and what was the meaning in it you will not understand without knowing the words, you will not feel the depth of the meaning of the word clothed in music.Good luck to you guys.Never forget that there was a word in the beginning!!! everything else later.

Thank you both for your comments and sharing time on your channel for this amazing young artist. FYI, the dress she was wearing was made by her Mother, Grandmother and Diana. Irena was shown clasping her hands wearing glasses and has short black hair. Diana sings, dances, actress, music theater, draws, paints, sews, plays piano and ukulele. Now 19 yrs old and attending Gitis University for variety arts in Moscow, simular to Juilliard in New York. She won this competition. She has won over 50 competitions at this point in her life, just 14yrs old for this performance, some internationally. One of the rewards given to her the was an apartment in Moscow. Provided by Igor Krutoy, one of the judges, this is to enable Diana and other finalists the following year the means to continue education in the arts, vocal training, ect. This was Diana's dream to live in Moscow and be a performer.

While looking forward to Can't Help Falling In Love, I would like to draw your attention to her interpretation of Ornery Horses, a highly metaphorical song about a person whose life is about to end despite him feeling that he has so much left to accomplish. She was emotionally so invested that she was in tears at the end of the song. A really moving performance in Russian with subtitles.

In the previous round a judge had said they needed to hear her sing a song in Russian (she had done French and English for the previous two). I don't think they expected her to bring Old Russia onto the stage. A world class performance at the age of 14. Staggering.

Это песнопение русов, пение святой Руси, пение на иЗконном языке человечества. Она пропевает и в словах и отдельно руны Рода: ять - божественная связь (озвучка - ие), оукЪ - выбор Пути, зов сердца (озвучка - оу), арь - тонкая взаимосвязь мiра небесного и мiра земного (озвучка - а, я), ёта - осознание своего предназначения, Рока (озвучка - ё) и т.д.. Отсюда и мурашки по телу. И ещё второй смысл слова реченька следует от слова речь - реченька самой сиротки. Исполнение это многоголосое пение отдельного исполнителя. Она пропевает глаголы через «…тися» это маркер того, что песня вне тюремных стен Jude-рептилоидной 33-х буквенной Луначарницы. Так пел мой дед. А Гнесинки как заурядные русофобские клоаки предназначены уничтожать всё руСкое.
