Appreciate the helpful review I had been on the fence about this hat; grabbed myself one in grey. Great channel by the way subscribed. Looking forward to whats to come. Keep up the great work!
Good tip about the bug net.
Thanks looking into getting this hat :)
i like vents thanks for sharing
I have a dome like yours, I think I’ll get this hat. Thanks
i bought the Tilley LTM6... it fits tight on my head due to the tear drop shape, i returned it... so this may be a good option :)

Tiley is an excellent option. Expensive but guaranteed for life. A good choice.
what size are you in fitted hats? so i can get a reference, it would be so helpful, please.

I'm an 8. A fat head!!
I love Columbia products hats and shirts
thank you for this review! I want to get this color but I'm afraid that it will look dirty easily. how does it hold up for you?

I've had it several years and even though I don't wear it all of the time it could use a wash yet it doesn't appear dirty until you get close to inspect it.
What do you do with the string? Tilleys have that inner pocket where you can hide it. SportChek? I should check this hat out.

Ronald P This is not a Tilley. There is no inner pocket. I just tuck the string up inside. I don't notice it.

Yeah I know, just was wondering about your Columbia. Don't notice the string, that's good.

If you are taking about the chin strap, put it behind your head, angle it down slightly, tighten it. Like a military campaign hat, it helps keep the hat on your head. Might take a few tries getting it original right.

@@oinc7320 Yes bought one soon after my comment. Easy.
what's your hat size normally? I'm a 7-1/2 plus, is this that big?

I am the same size and have to cinch the shock cord to stay on.
What size hat do you ordinarily wear? My dome is as big as yours.

I'm not sure what size my fat head is. I do know that this hat is a one size but is adjustable. I haven't had any issues with it and is still going strong. I would recommend it over a Tilly to save a few bucks.

Does the venting allow the sun in?

Yes and no. The venting is just small holes in the hat. I've never had issues with sunburn while wearing it though.

Does the next strap stay tight?
@camperstale4121

Yes it does. The straps are sewn into the hat. There is an adjustable sliding clip that holds it tight to the hin. I've used it several times and has never failed me.
What's color? Fossil? Sage? Grey?

Thank you. I thought it was white😅
The Bora Bora comes in sizes, they claim the XL is 60 cm. My head is 59.50 cm and the XL is a snug fit, without the back adjustment. The Bora Bora II is one size fits all and I believe slightly bigger than 60 CM, maybe 62? Don't hold me to this. If I didn't dry and comb my hair with a towel like you probably do too, aka I had that hair that I miss in my hippie days, the XL Bora Bora probably wouldn't fit. I live near the coast the hat is so lightweight it blows off a lot, so I need the chin strap. It's an interesting hat, you can somewhat see through the top. I have been caught in heavy rain, oddly my head didn't get wet, but it took a long time to dry out, it was very wet on the outside. I had to place it on 3 bottles of water so it would sit proud on them to dry. The chin strap is useful in heavy rain, pulling tight helps it keep the brim defined. No collapsibling in the front or back. It sucks having a big head, worse when your hat size is right at the boundaries of say a XL, XXL. I like the hat a lot. I think I would go with the Bora Bora II if you have a big head in hope that it gives a little bit bigger hat size. It keeps me from getting sunburned on the top of my head, so, yeah, good for the hair challenged, I don't have a problem with sweat in eyes, which is a big plus. Just curious what is your hat size?
Dude, you're not doing your back any favors by carrying around all that weight on your shoulders. You should probably get a pack with a waist strap if you're carrying around lumber... that way your waist does most of the work

Let's Learn I do have a proper pack but I didn't want to use it for the large logs I carried in for fear of tearing the pack or the tough to remove tree sap. I use this pack as a work horse for short/quick jobs.
Jesus man, maybe setup the walk onto camera to be a little less taxing for you. Might be worth watching a couple review videos so you understand what goes into an actual review. All we know from this is that: you got it from Atmosphere for $30, it's adjustable, you like it, and you've got a big head.

What do you suggest that I should say further about it? Do you have a video that I could view to get some pointers on? Do you have a hat that is better?
1:00 review starts. beginning is a waste of time. otherwise, ok review.
