Columbia Bora Bora Booney II Hat.

This is a review of my new Bora Bora Booney II Hat by Columbia. It's a very light weight, foldable, packable, breathable, moisture wicking, adjustable, stylish, and UPF 50+ hat.
It's great for every day use but I purchased it mainly for hiking and backpacking.
I also like that the brim goes all the way around unlike a traditional cap. Easier to block the sun and much more compatible with a mosquito net. It's one size fits all and adjustable. The wind doesn't blow it off but if it did, it has a chin cord so it will never go far.
The pictures and video were made in Saquoia National Park on July 4, 2022.
I love this hat! Nothing bad to say.
If you want one, I purchased mine at REI. The link is below.

How do you keep the chin strap tight?

It has a pull toggle on the chin strap. Just as it does on the back of the hat to keep the hat sized for your head. It's rare that I would ever use it. Unless it's really windy.

It's not. It stays pretty good. Only really floppy when it's wet after soaking it in a steam. But as far as performance during the hike, it fits well and stays put.

@@Wardcreek I see what you mean. Yeah, it's floppy compared to a stiffer brim. But doesn't get in the way and pretty much status where you put it. Sometimes I have to bend it up a little but it stays where I put it. I hike with it all the time and it's never falling down in my face and I don't have to constantly adjust it. But yes, it's soft and light and had a flexible brim. But the brim doesn't hang down due to how light it is. But once completely saturated with water, it starts to hang until dry, due to the weight factor. It's not a good hat for soaking in steams. Unless you keep the brim dry. It doesn't block my vision, when it's windy. It keeps bugs out of my face and pretty much stays where I put it. There are hats with firm brims if that's what you're looking for. But this is nice because of its light weight and packability. I try to go light and save on space. I think that's why I love this hat Plus it does a good job at keeping sun out of my eyes on switchbacks. No more readjusting. If you get your hat at rei, you can easily return it after using it if you don't love it. They have a 365 day satisfaction guarantee. Used or not
