Just want to say thank you for your Cabrio washer video, I found burn marks on the board and used alcohol to wipe it down. I’ve ran 3 successful loads without any issues. Saved a few hundred bucks, just hope it last as long as it should now. Thanks again!

I have this same model GE washer . Very cheap build quality. It’s definitely not the same quality GE appliance that my parents always purchased ! I’ll use it until it starts giving me problems … then buy a USA company built Speed Queen.

  • @dregenius

I mean, these GE toploaders are made in USA, while their front loaders are made in China by Haier... and the build quality on the Chinese made ones absolutely blows away the US-made union-built tin-can top-loaders. But then, GE knows their market - most americans will buy any washer, no matter how cheap and unfit for purpose, as long as it's got a flap on the top and a plastic prong sticking up in the middle of the wash basket. For such a young country, we really are the most stubbornly stuck in the 1800s. lol.

Hi there, thank you for this information. I haven't tried any but they are useful. My issue is this, my washer just randomly stopped working. It is lit and I can turn the knob and you could hear the sound. I noticed that when I turn on my washer, it gives a sound that is flat versus when it was working normally. What could be the issue?

I replaced a drain pump on my GE washer (thanks for showing me how) because the washer would not drain. When I plugged it back in, it now seems to be continually trying to drain and makes a noise. Thought it might be worth a shot to see if you may have a thought as to what problem could be. Thanks.

The Achilles heal of these GE washers is the poor balancing system. Issue will occur with under loading, overloading and clothes distribution.
