Great video! I replaced all the parts only to find the bottom purple wire on heating element was shorted. Replaced wire and back up to running. Guess I have share parts now.

There's one step I would highly recommend adding: Closely inspect all of the wiring connected to the heating element. I got error codes that suggested I replace the thermostat & thermistor. I did with no luck, gave up, and called-in an expert. The repairman hooked up some equipment to the terminal in the back and ran some tests, then told me it was my heating element that went bad. Went to replace it and lo and behold, the dark purple/black wire on the bottom right was melted straight through. Looks like I get to return a lot of parts.

Very well done. I have this dryer and was not getting heat. Found the parts after watching the video. All for about 40 bucks. Pulled the dryer out to check for lint. Plugged back in and pushed back to the wall. Turned on just to check, and had heat. Hmmmm....Bookmarked this video and the parts just in case. LOL

After replacing the inlet and outlet thermistor (thinking that was the problem since both had no continuity) I did find out thanks to this post that I had the same problem as mentioned in the feed with the burned off purple wire connector on the heating element. Thanks for the tip, this is now the 3rd time I had to take this machine apart (ugh) I do however have a bigger problem, since the actual slide on tab on the heating element got burned off. I will have to try to drill on the remaining tab and try to get a nut and bolt connection on it to connect to the heater element with an eyelet connector.

Thanks for your videos - Highly informative for the home DIYer. Could you please comment on what the test values should be for the thermostat and thermistors? For example, thermostat should have continuity, but thermistors no continuity - check instead for resistance. I'm looking for what the room temperature values should be for the the thermistors so I can see if they're out of range.

I replaced all 3 due to no heat and had codes 1&2. Fired it up with a jacket in side a couple times. Was not heating. Got mad and hit the back of the machine and tried again. This time it got hot. I don't know if that was me or the machine just needed more time to heat with the new parts. Will see what happens in the future. Btw, no codes at this time either.
