GE 58dB Portable Dishwasher Review - WORTH RISKING EVICTION

Ғылым және технология

GE 23.62'' 58dB Portable Dishwasher Review (GPT225SGLWW)
We got one because we HAAAAATE doing the dishes and it's been pretty perfect, can't complain! Hasn't had an issues, I think in this video I didn't rinse out the coffee grinds from the french press so that's why it got one some of the plates but whatever. 10/10 would buy again and again and again. Wish I bought one the day we moved in.

You need to clean your removable manual filter at the bottom of the dishwasher under the lower spray arm and clean it. That’s why food bits are getting redeposited on the dishes

At 4:02 I maybe able to explain! the dishwasher has a pre-wash tray and poring detergent (rather than the little packet) into it, along with the main tray can help. As the pre wash amount aids in cleaning during the hardest step. 2. The rinse aid compartment that's never used, probably should be, as it's adds chemicals to lessen waters able to cling to surfaces. In other words, less water on your dish at the end step makes drying easier.

Apparently it was a quick fix. Now that the same thing has happened again I am one month past my one year warranty. I like it but it is frustrating. the reason you aren't supposed to have dishwashers and washers in apt buildings not set up for them is most often because the plumbing can't handle it, and from experience with the neighbor having one it makes the cold water run hot in other units, which is totally awesome when your neighbors aren't expecting it.

The reason why the coffee grinds were there is because the water sits on the top rack on the turned down side of the glasses. If you would have emptied the bottom rack first they would not have been there. I have been using a portable for years so I know how it happens! I do want to ask if this machine has a drying cycle? I know you put it on the shorter cycle. Is there a drying cycle? Or is it designed to sit and dry on it's own? I am just researching for when my baby needs to be replaced. I want one but it looks like that would be pretty heavy to haul in a 2nd floor apartment through the stairs even with a dolly.

Did you have to get an adapter for this dishwasher? We just bought one from GE and the power cord is only about 3 feet long and the hoses are 6 inches. We were told we had to buy additional parts to make it work.

Could you extend the adapter in a way? Being able to have additional tubing with the sink adapter that can run to the dishwasher.

Came here because I'm trying to figure out why my exact same washer will not start. Set the settings then push start and close door. It normally starts in a few seconds but now it doesn't. I think it's the latch but I can't find any kind of diag info for this POS. I don't like the washer at all. It has been a pain since day one. It does a good job when it works.

Does the water need to be hot? The reason I dont wash by hand is because it takes minutes waiting for the water to get hot, 5+. Such a waste of water. I thought the machine would use a heating element to get the water up to temp.

Does that dishwasher have a shorter cord, or is mine stuck inside. I'm afraid to pull too hard I don't want to break it or not be able to put cord back in. TY IA

I bought one of these dishwashers but mine says 54db - it looks like the same model though. Mine makes a lot of noise when it's on. I beleive the plastic spinners rattle as they spin. The pump pulses when ejecting the waste water.... it's not one steady flow.....it stops several times when ejecting the waste water. Is that the way yours works ? It hard to tell because you did too much editing on your video.
