Bob the mini dishwasher stole my heart (and washed the dishes after)
Ғылым және технология
This adorable appliance sits on your counter or under the sink and can wash the dishes in 20 minutes flat. Starting at $299, Bob has a window so you can watch the dishes getting cleaned and it has an integrated water tank, so no hookup required.

Yeah, watched it again and I have the same dish rack..:: and I guess I’ll do a pre order … 😂
Looks like the perfect small dishwasher for basic every day dishes and I like that it does UV sanitizing too.
The whole point of a dishwasher (besides not wanting to do the dishes by hand) is that it washes the dishes at temperatures your hands couldn't cope with. It also uses tablet/soap cleaner that's not suitable for contact with your skin. When I wash dishes with my Miele dishwasher the plates are super clean and the cutlery is unbelievably shiny. You can really tell the difference. Normally I hand wash but every now and then I'll use the dishwasher for a deeper clean.

Yeah imagine using a whole tablet that is meant for full size dishwashers on this tiny thing with 8 pieces max inside. That's an expensive wash.

You could buy a proper sized one for those prices, but if you've not got space for one it's a option, it depends on how much you hate doing dishes I guess.

I agree with your point that such device is a bit useless. I live in an apartment with 30sqm indoor space in Germany, so I don't have a kitchen but a kitchenette in the hallway. Half a year ago, I was thinking about getting a counter top dishwasher like Bob or Siemens but after thinking about it, I still end up with 45cm undercabinet Miele dishwasher (700EURO incl. additional plumbing) and swapping out refrigerator. Here is my reason: room space and washing flexibility. Room Space: I have 1.5m kitchenette so countertop dishwasher takes up valuable countertop space Washing Flexibility: I can wash anything with Miele. Every time I fitted one slow cooking pot, one 26cm pasta pot and one 26cm wok in it and 3 days of dirty dishes and glasses. If I host a party/dinner, I can invite up to 8 people over for dinner with the dishwasher able to handle all the washing. And the swapped out refrigerator become a countertop for instant heater, slow-cooker, blender and large utensil holder.
Bob, such a lucky guy 🤣 you can feel the LOVE! Great review.
I need to buy this for my mother, she lives alone and her dishwasher broke but she’s like yeah its not worth running every day anyway
We used to have a travel trailer when I was little, and Bob would have been a nice addition. The tiny sink made it hard to wash things, and you don't really want to wash dishes on vacation/holidays.
I can see a future studio apartments coming equipped with Bob the dishwasher :)
I’m so impressed by this 😮 I’m like “shut up and take my money”
Lexy Savvides never disappoints in her enthusiasm. This a great review! I'm actually thinking up use cases for where I could use this now. Maybe in the basement where my teenage daughter's bedroom is. I've got water hook ups in the furnace room. Perhaps she would actually do her dishes then. :-)
I might have to buy one of these. My house was not build with a dishwasher in mind so this might be perfect for me
A very practical device among all the smartphones, tablets and stuff. Thanks for the thorough review.
As usual a GREAT presentation by Lexy. Very informative, fun, funny and absolutely useful. The best from CES. Thanx
perfect for a tiny home, actually perfect for a mobile home or camper van
You are delightful and Bob suits you well! A power couple.
Perfect. Your the first review I've seen that takes into account cookware and not just tableware. Very impressed with the clean on your oven dish. I'm pretty much sold!
Omg this is going to be a game changer for the Van life/vehicle campers/outlanders. So awesome!
I would love to have that as a student. A lot of accommodation either don't have a dishwasher or are too small for one, that would be perfect, also as a first dishwasher when I eventually move out permanently. However I would have to save a little to be able to buy it.
I like that little dishwasher like lady mentioned it'd be good for rv I'm amazed at the things I see electronics as well as what they're showing here thank you for showing and God bless
This would have been excellent when I was a student.
There seem to be a lot of people that don't think this is useful. Yes, you can wash them by hand quickly but what ever time you think whether it's 10 mins, or 5mins that doesn't mean you use less water for every 2 mins we leave the sink running we waste about 4 gallons this thing uses 3.8L which is about 1.004 gallons for one cycle. and Why would you want to wash them by hand when you don't have to. You could be doing other things, making bob pretty convenient. If you have a couple dishes to wash, and want to save on your water bill, while being environmentally conscious. Then Bob would probably be a smart purchase.
That's all I need to know. I'm getting a Bob myself right now!
Great review. Actually, going to look into getting one. Love the sterilization feature.
I have a full dishwasher that works perfectly HOWEVER I still want this, mine is so loud and takes over an hour and im just to lazy to wash dishes but im a single guy that lives alone so this would be so much better for me and the environment since it will use less electricity and water.
The way it started i thought Bob would have some smart assistant feature and will talk like Alexa 😂
A dishwasher with the ability to love
I don’t need a dishwasher but Bob looks great for those that may. Good review.

i must own one of these! i do so miss having a dishwasher in my new apartment. Aswell as a washingmachine. Luckily i've found a washing machine like bob.
Excellent review and you mentioned plenty of detail regarding the machine thanks for sharing 😊😊
Haha awesome review Lexy! The Aussie in you came out a bit as well "wow Bob, I am impressed MATE" 😃😃!
That is a great dishwasher right there, clean dishes with no problem
Good job Bob!
I want a mini dishwasher that works the same as commercial conveyer dishwashers. This would solve the limited load capacity. It could have robot arms spring out of the box with a vision system to locate, scrape, sort and load randomly placed cutlery and plates and then unload them on a empty part of the work surface, neatly stacked.
My BOB impresses and makes me happy too.
I honestlly think that washing by hand a couple of plates and forks is way faster than Bob.
saw this on snapchat i really need this definitely buying one!
I can see a future where Bob integrates with your cabinets and all you do is put dirty dishes away and 15m later they're cleaned.
Love the score to this video. Bring rock back

Just a note: I was planning on pre-ordering one of these, but have since found out that they are not planning on selling them in the US. I contacted the company directly, as I was having trouble pre-ordering, so as far as I know, my information is current as of this writing. If that changes, please IM me. Thank you.

Great French product with cool design/"face" and technology
Why is the glass window so small? Why can’t all dish washers have a glass door like laundry machines?
Love it! Excellent review :))
Looks like Bob's a keeper.
I think Techmoan reviewed this a while back. Check that out too.

These dishwashers rarely ever need more than an hour to clean dishes. It's more to do with the quality of your dishwasher powder/pods
It’s 3:30am and I’m watching a video about a dishwasher 🤣
This would be fantastic for people with chronic illnesses or disabilities that may find loading/unloading a larger dishwasher too much
My finger nails are split and hands are raw from washing dishes and it is just my son and me. Plus the amount of soap and water I waste would make this worth it for the right price.
Loved this review!
I have the same stove you have, I am so sorry for you, I absolutely hate it and I can't wait to get rid of it. Bob seems cool.
Heavenly for people with germaphobia or people with sensitive dermatitis issues.
This is good for washing baby bottles.. priceless
Bob really got me excited until I found out its not as portable as you make it sound. It runs off of 220volts so if you don’t have any 220v outlets everywhere in your kitchen then you’ll be paying an electrician to install one which is not cheap unless your handy.

Bob is the kind of guy to always reminds you that you're single

I have a sudden urge to buy a dishwasher.
I want the Bob. I tried to buy the bob. The website says you can't buy it if you're in America so I can't have the Bob
Remember: Point all your pointy cutlery up! Got to love the British!
How much electricity does it actually pull if anyone knows?
I don’t understand why hand washing for the tiny amount of dishes this thing can hold is not acceptable. It would take around 5 minutes.

Depends where you live in terms of water cost. I could see this being useful in desert areas and some parts of CA where there are water restrictions. If you’re somebody who regularly turns the sink on and off while handwashing, then this isn’t going to help you much either.

@@ezioaltairac In L.A. avg cost for tap water is approx 60 cents per 100 gallons. So "Bob is your Uncle?" lol 😊
thanx lexy
I need a table top dishwasher I can fit pans, pots and trays in it. Sure, it will take most of the space, but I don't see any reviewer saying or testing that.
I'd rather do my Magic Chef Countertop Dishwasher. I have mine setup like permanent setup through hoses and piping directly into plumbing like real dishwasher but it meant to hook up to a kitchen faucet and drain into sink.
I just measured, and it won't fit under my cabinets. I would have to place it right beside the sink like Lexy ended up doing. Maybe European cabinets have more clearance than in the USA? It seems like this could be a problem for them entering the USA market.
How can I get one of these in the USA? I am sold but the website says not available in my region. I’m crushed. :(
I want it. Wow
What are the diameter of your big plates that fits in BOB dishwasher? Please let us know.
Maybe if it were like $150-200, but there's a 7.5 liter MOOSOO dishwasher for $350 that beats it out IMO. Certainly such a thing as too small. I have no idea why these things cost so much though.
