@@perceptoshmegington3371 History? Historically, Islamic countries where very developed, more than Europeans in military and education, until things turn around in the last 200 years and now the west just bombs them repeatedly.

Ukraine's 200 Billion is 100% external money.

Doesn't account for Purchasing Power. Russia goes from 1.6x smaller than the French economy to being 1.3x larger than the French economy when accounting for PPP If you've ever wondered how people in the third world can survive off $3 a day it's because although the wages are low there so too are the costs of goods and services. Russia has less money but things in Russia are so much cheaper, therefore Russia can buy more stuff.

International trade is still just as expensive tho, Russia produces a lot of materials and goods domestically but there’s many different products that Russia still relies on import for, such as microchips. Besides that per capita Russia is still far behind the vast majority of other European countries.
