    You don’t need to know the full names for the hormones for the exam, just the abbreviations, but I found it was worth remembering FSHs full name. I could never remember what it did, but as soon as I remembered it was folical stimulating hormone, I remembered it matured the eggs in the ovaries.

  • @Freesciencelessons

    @Freesciencelessons

    6 жыл бұрын

    No problem and thanks for the comment. Progesterone is released if the woman is pregnant. Progesterone inhibits FSH so that no more eggs are matured. If an egg matured and was released while a woman was already pregnant then it could be fertilised. By inhibiting FSH, this is prevented.

    I think there is enough time to revise everything. But to answer your question, my teacher said revise the topics you feel the least like revising, as those are usually the ones you struggle with. I would still go over the entire spec even if it's breifly. And make sure to look at common exam questions as some of these seem to come in every year's paper. Hope this helped.

    Ovulation occurs on day 14 when the egg is released from the ovary. If the egg is not fertilised after 28 days then it is released from the uterus along with the uterus lining, and this is a period.
