GBATS Fridays - Bossman's Peterbilt 359 "Rat Rod"
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Has it really been a decade since “Rat Rod” has been on video???? Yes, indeed-it sure has. Join Bryan “Bossman” Martin as he takes us for a ride-a-long in his Peterbilt 359, points out some of his favorite features, and does some storytelling about how the old Peterbilt "Rat Rod" came to be the truck it is today.

I’m not sure what it is about watching this man talk trucks, but it makes me wanna work on my rig and do even more custom stuff. He is very motivational and Inspirational.

Hey Bossman. I've been to GBATS Many times I've even got a picture of you and my wife at I wanna say the first or Second one you had. She was so excited to get a picture with you. Absolutely amazing times and Memories. I love your Ol 359. It's definitely a keeper. I have watched this video countless times. It was so hard to take when you had to cancel the 2020 GBATS But what an amazing job Y'all did on the Live Stream. That too I have watched countless times. God Bless you and your family and friends. Definitely a Class Act 100 Percent. I'll see you at the next GBATS. Keep the shiney side up and Hammer Down. 10/4.
I love this man and his trucks. Nice video👍
Hey Bryan the Don Boss Man in 1987 is when I graduated from eight grade when I was, thirteen that, 359 Peterbilt Conventional is thirty four years old
Just bought a 1985 359 with a 425hp 3406B with 239,000 original miles on it, with a 10sp trans. It was purchased, and left in a field 15 years ago. I've driven passed this with brush and a tree growing up thru it every week. The owner finally decided to part with it. Now the fun starts! I feel like I've completed a life mission. I've had dreams of this truck.
I had 85 359 Pete flat top, 280-in wheelbase 13-speed 425 Cat dual vortex air cleaners, dual 6 inch stacks. I wish I still I still had that truck. Like you said they have a certain smell, a certain sound, I could reach over and touch the passenger door. Those two vortex air cleaners with that turbo screaming through them keeps you up at night keeps you alert. straight stacks that truck was absolutely gorgeous. You brought back a lot of memories thanks for the video.
Great ride-a-long like what you did & didn't do perfect combination .Yes there's something REALLY righteous about the view through the glass of a 359 EXHD 😎 . Still got dad's old 81 long hood Nickel nine - V8w/ 5n4 336 rears on flex-air ( cutoffs) don't run her much( 3.5 -4 mpg) but every fall haul a couple loads of feeders up to feedlot . Love this old truck but will stick w/ 99 379 & 2WS & 18 speed - more power/ torque & 2× mph + much smoother ride . 🐂🐂
Great truck. I have a ‘87 379 Peterbilt I purchased out of a ‘I had to have it’ mentality. And it was a worse basket case than I expected. I’ve already spent 3 times what I paid for the truck to get it somewhat drivable. So there’s a lot more to do. Plus the interior and paint. Yet I bought a ‘84 359 Peterbilt last month for just over twice what I paid for the 379. And it’s 12” shorter in wheelbase than the 379, yet rides a whole lot better. Keep up the good work.
my brother keep talking about these old school trucks, he loves them so much he do say there hard to find to buy one though..

You better hold onto her for as long as possible. Those 359 & older trucks like it are a needle in 9 haystacks. I’m waiting on the right truck at the right time like this one to come by. Very respectful looking truck. Work of art!!

Long live the old Iron
Just when you think that "grill guard" is indestructable, look up at that Newfoundland plate above your window.
My dad drove a COE International that had air powered wipers. I remember them jerking as they wiped back and forth.

Boss man that was a great story I remember they interviewed Hump in the and they showed a scale ticket I. Pretty sure it was Rat rod grossed out 190 thousand
Hey Bossman will you some vids with more freightliners and some Volos showing that you can build anything.
Nice truck! I live in Nebraska near the town that the bumper is made and they still a being made a guy bought the company and they are great products. Punch Henn llc is the shop now you can look them up on Facebook.

I've own 1980 359 extended hood peterbilt 63 inch flat top 400 Cummins 4×4 Spicer's transmission factory air ride has early 60's corvette double hump dash almost the same color I'm 2nd owner
Sharp rig. However, I wish you bring the 3408 CAT monster engine back to it, I think it'd be much more unique since there's not that much rigs left with such a serious motor under the hood.
I just found a 1984 Pete 359 for sale and it’s in pretty good shape. I know what they want but I don’t know what it’s actually worth. I think the motor is a Cummins big cam. Anyway what you think it’s worth.
Who put the big hole in the cab?
Could someone help with info on how to get my steering wheel to tilt completely straight? 02 model Pete

Rubbing the steering wheel with all the muscles
Like reminds F&F 4
My truck looks ratty too.
hello what is a glider kit ?
@4StateTrucks

Good morning, a glider kit means no engine trans, so you can put an old engine in it and have a new truck but none of the new emissions
Need some new steer tires
