I would be like that pastor caught with a prostitute. He cried like a baby. Lost everything, and his name was in the mud. This is only to repair for tv and membership sake. They know people will stop sending money. They are just trying to stop the fire that already reached the ceiling, unfortunately.

Having served in the church for many years as a woman in ministry, I can tell you that at this point there is a church full of people who have been wounded. This is not about damage control for the media, social or otherwise. This is about the remaining leadership trying their best to bring hope to this congregation at a very dark time. The reminder that God has worked in and through the people is still truth. It is still God’s church. He hasn’t changed His mind about the people and the demonstration of the Gospel they have carried out for years. Instead of the criticism, consider and PRAY for this congregation and the future of the ministry that God has given them!

Having said this, I still believe that we must have the fear of God residing strongly and firmly in us. Fear of God equals obedience to Him and His ways. Easier said than done, I know. Weave God in our daily moments. In our standing, sitting, talking, relaxing, resting etc. In all aspects of our lives. God sees our hearts and He will act on our behalf. Life is filled with ups and downs but we have our good God to turn to in times of needs. Amen.❤❤❤ Pray unceasingly for your church leaders. To cover them from subtle attacks of the evil one. Robert Morris should have addressed the church. Morris should have been fired and an outside committee should name the successor because if Morris son takes over the church, Morris continues to have influence regarding the church. The Elders supported Morris even when Cindy informed them she was only 12 and Morris was 20. It was only after the story hit mainstream media that the Elders claimed they didn't know all the facts. I am praying for restoration for all parties involved including Morris because it would be shameful for Morris to go to hell for unrepentant sins. God is giving Morris a chance to really repent and stop lying. Morris and his wife owe Cindy an apology. I am really praying for the church because they have been lied to for over 35 years by Morris and the Elders. I don't believe some of those Elders didn't know the truth. Why did the Elders release a statement supporting Morris once Christian Post published the article that Cindy was only 12? The church doesn't need tears from Elders. The church for once and for all needs the truth. Morris isn't the only person that needs to repent

I don’t know why her or anybody else that found out about it immediately report him to the police probably because they were afraid of his position and what he might try to do if they did, according to Cindy, her dad had given an ultimatum either resign or I’m calling the police or the sheriff. There were other issues as well. He was retirement age. A few people from the church went to the state headquarters to let them know what had happened. They went ahead and gave the man his retirement benefits. But as far as I know he was not in ministry anymore. Something about how Robert exaggerated about many things.. he has even commented on how Debbie would correct him on this.. some preachers act like being behind the pulpit is like being on stage. Like a fan club. Other pastors included.. use your own discernment when a pastor gets into the drama of preaching, and not the Holy Spirit, it is a spirit of self aggrandizement, which is pride. I truly believe the pastors that started with a pure heart have fallen because of the pride of the fans... I could be wrong.. we still need to pray for the body of Christ as a whole regardless..

He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. Unfortunately, that probably won’t happen because of statue limitations I’ve seen lawyers being being interviewed in other videos saying that at the time the abuse was happening both in Oklahoma and the state of Texas the statue of limitations was like two years now laws have changed, but there’s nothing that would allow you to try somebody for something that happened years ago relating to child abuse my thing is why didn’t anybody reported immediately once they found outthey were afraid that my child would’ve immediately once she told me or I found gone to the police

It is sad but let a man without sin cast the stone. RM has done a terrible act but there is redemption for everyone of us as long as we repent of our wrong doings. RM is like any other man on the face of the earth that sin. So let us not be vile in our judgment. Temper sin with forgiveness Christ has demonstrated it in His walk.

I just read the story of David and Bathsheba last night and watched a few teachings. Since everyone compares a sinful pastor to David. And the teacher says Joab was just as guilty as David, because he helped get Uriah killed as part of a coverup. Point being, David sinned, his subordinates helped cover it up, and now everyone involved is guilty of murder. So, I think all elders involved in a coverup are guilty of the sin they’re covering.

It's hard to believe that the "pastor" and that "elder" were the only two people aware of the truth for so long and kept it a secret. It is possible, but difficult to believe that this did not come up in discussion. I wonder if they had long planned on denying her allegations. Their initial public response was very dismissive. I don't think they expected the backlash---they thought the sheeple would ignorantly carry on in an air of righteousness. Churches like these are run like secular corporations, and it shows.

Gateway is run like a BIG BUSINESS and when people realized this, they left for smaller congregations that actually demonstrated 'we are all about people'. I know because I attended there for 5 years volunteering my time, resources and helping with all kinds of events. Every Saturday and Sunday was focused on giving your time and money to reach the lost while those of us who served were never actually appreciated. We were never good enough to be in the 'Club'. Just imagine what they could have accomplished if those millions of dollars coming in were not spent on BIG EXPENSIVE BUILDINGS and BIG SALARIES but instead actually used to help so many in need. If they ever get their priorities straight .... they might turn things around. But it just might be too late now.

Good Morning, would the body of leadership (elders) please take into consideration removing all sermons by Robert Morris. Sadly, even the mere sight of RM currently TRIGGERS many terrible emotions and past memories, to those that find RM behavior dispicable. We will continue to pray for the body of Christs healing and restoration.

Just a thought, why don't we also tear out the ,3/4's of the New Testament? After all it was written by The Chief of All Sinners AKA Paul The Apostle. Those that can't see that R.M. did change can't see the true Gospel. Doesn't it say if you become born again your a new creature? Sure seems to me like he did change and I am no fan of R.M. either but I was used in molestation and incest. We must forgive. Only God should judge. Too much responsibility for us to do so.

Predators' enablers always start with "It's the hardest thing for me". I don't believe this elder. As a survivor of a long chain of crimes and abuses in 2 evangelical churches, I am 100% sure that you had seen many predatory behaviours in that wolf and he always used scriptures to excuse them and that all his previous victims of his greed, verbal abuse, etc, were despised. This kind of predators do not work alone.

Any preacher that can’t handle being questioned about their actions doesn’t have the a godly spirit in them. I’ve grown up Pentecostal my whole life and I’m tired of pastors thinking they are not accountable! They want to get in a pulpit and call people Jezabel’s when their hearts are full of pride. God is separating the mega pastors who are loving power and money over holiness! Robert Morris has blood on his hands for not exposing those criminal acts when he said he repented! I hope and pray the church gets an humble man leading them!

We can’t tell if the elder knew about it or not. We can give people the benefit of doubt that and say he didn’t know. Are the people commenting believers or not? Not sure. Robert Morris surely deserves our prayer. Of course he should have admitted to this when it happened way back and faced the consequences. Then the shame would not be this huge and disgraceful. When I hear about these things and how some clamour for Robert Morris to be cancelled, I wonder if we should cancel David and all the Psalms that he wrote. Or should we cancel Paul and all the books he wrote in the New Testament? Many people casting stones have skeletons as well that have not been discovered. Yes, Robert Morris has to be held accountable for the pain, trauma and hurt caused to Cindy. At the same time too we acknowledge that he started and has led this massive ministry that has been a blessing to many. Some may question some of the doctrine and theology. But many messages have brought healing and deliverance and blessings to people. Let’s pray for Cindy for strength, healing and restoration. Please pray for Robert Morris as well. And let the church continue to be a blessing to society; a beacon of light and hope.

Did the elders know all the facts? That is hard to know for sure but there is pretty good evidence that at least some of them did.
