Some men rely on the bible to shield evil men, especially those who harm women and children. Any book that discourages you from reporting and punishing criminals is not a book to respect! (I actually heard a radio preacher discourage battered women from calling 911. He did not approve of shelters or police intervention. He told wives take the beatings, forgive him, be especially warm in bed, submit. Soon the man will be a Christian too. )

She should have brought forth charges. Why didn't her dad? Why didn't she? This woman waited 35 years and holds on the unforgiveness. Unforgiveness hurts the person holding it, not the person to be forgiven. From the Lord's Prayer: "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." She is unable to receive God's grace because she is holding on to hatred. She and her dad had their chance, but blew it. Why? The statute of limitations have no limit for s3xual abuse of a child. She needs to talk to a lawyer and to the police.

Morris’s acts against this 12-year-old child (not a “young lady” as he claims) are reprehensible. He abused her during a five-year period. He may have repented and been forgiven and restored by God, but not into ministry. From the first se**al assault on this child, he should have been arrested, processed, and made to register as an offender like everyone else. He is not above the law, quite the contrary, clergymen are held to a higher standard by God and men. Pursuant to 1 Timothy 3:2-7, from the onset, he disqualified himself and therefore has been unqualified to be a pastor since then. The kicker is that it wasn’t a one-time offense and there could be other victims through the years. While there is a statute of limitations in Oklahoma, there is no statute of limitations in Texas for Cindy or any other victim to file charges now.

@@TheGothicdolphin What is M. T.? Well this is quite confusing to me for 2 reasons. 1) My Attorney told me just last fall that he couldn't continue with my case as he had thought because my case had surpassed the Statute of Limitations. 2) Just this passed Monday I called the police station in Southlake, Texas and asked why they hadn't arrested Pastor Robert. Their response was that the statute of limitations had run out so there was nothing they could do. If you have better information I'd like to know where to find it. Because everything I find on line supports my attorney's and the police's claim. "What Is The Statute Of Limitations For Sexual Abuse Lawsuits? {in Texas} The statute of limitations for sexual abuse lawsuits in Texas has been modified. Previously, child victims of sexual assault had 15 years to file a claim dating from the their eighteenth birthday. Adult victims of sexual assault had five years. That deadline is calculated from the date of the attack. However, in 2019, Texas legislators passed a new law that gave child victims more time to file. The new law allows for a 30-year statute of limitations on child sexual abuse. That deadline is calculated from the date of the victim’s 18th birthday. Initially, the bill exempted churches and nonprofits from the expanded statute of limitations. However, victims of sexual abuse protested this exception, and the House amended the bill to include those institutions."

I feel for this woman . You can see her hurt and bitterness. The time this should have been made right was woth her parents as she was still a child/ teen. It appears the parents did forgive him. It was their choice not to go to police. Years ago I saw him at the pulpit referring to a messed up time in his life,he became emotional and acknowledged his wife as being the reason for standing with him thru it and very grateful He started to weep. Truely you saw a repentant heart. Yet it was never disclosed what it was about. This was about 15 to 20 yrs ago. I am certain this was what it was about. I have found great signicance in the Lords prayer especially in lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. We live in a very sexual society since late 70's till present. It was our ignorance as satan was bringing his perversion into society that the Church didnt take a stand against it and teach their sheep not to be led into temptation but be delivered from evil. Pastor Morris was young in age and in Minstry. The happening of King David and his fall to adultry and murder should have been considered but temptation as with King David who was not a young adult took root. Yet God never thru King David away .In fact He call him a man after Gods own heart. Abraham had sex committing adultry making a child with his servant after God had made a promise to him for a child with his wife. It really takes a willingness to see these situations thru Gods word His heart and mind. Being Carnal minded becomes our sin against God. Had Pastor Morris continued this Sin it would be different but he did do what the word says to do. Repent, turn away .He got proper counseling. I think about sins of my past and then remember the message of the cross is those sins were paid for by the Blood of Jesus. As far as the east is from the west avcording to the Word of God. As Christian's we want to embrace this truth for ourselves but crucify someone else for their past sins. We can not gave it both ways.We forgive as we want to be forgiven. My concern is why this eoman waited till now to come forth? Why publicly? Why not in private with the Church Elders and Pastor Morris? For this womans sake she needs to search her heart for these answeres. Her healing will only come from this and forgiveness. Time we who call ourselves Christians start seeking God for discernment in these issues. Most important we fo not let Satan use this to destroy.

It’s often not about condoning the actions or forgetting the harm done, but rather about freeing oneself from the burden of anger and resentment. The concept of divine forgiveness is typically unconditional and separate from human justice; it’s about the possibility of transformation and redemption. It isn't for the victim or us to determine if Morris was truly repentant. He followed Biblical prodicle by confessing his sin and then going through a two year program or something of that sort. His past years since then speak of a repentant man who has turned from that behavior. What he did was wrong. No one should be abused in any way, however, why come forward now? God will judge Pastor Morris. It's our duty to forgive. My daughters were molested, no intercourse involved, by a neighbor many years ago. Thankfully, our daughters told us what was happening so we could stop it. It was difficult to forgive the man but I felt it was what we were supposed to do. We could have pressed charges but the Bible says to forgive. As a family, we worked hard to forgive him and eventually we did truly forgive him. We still feel good about our decision. My daughters are happily married and have given us seven grandchildren. I pray for God's peace to surround both the victim and Pastor Morris and his family. And I also pray that Christians don't lose their faith because of this. This isn't God's fault.

I've known families who brush the "dirty old man's" actions into the closet, thus invalidating the victim's ordeal and allowing the perp to continue his/her evil ways. Sometimes coming forward costs more than the victim can bear. Like losing your whole family for exposing the s3x abuser.. Another thought I have is if whomever was told about the abuse and nothing happened, why would it be different now? I spoke to a counselor friend of mine decades ago and his take was that more than half of women had been SA at some point in their lives.

You are correct. This is not God's fault. As God's word says it is Satan's plan to seek to deceive and destroy. And God has given Satan full reign to do exactly that until God returns. This is clear and plainly written in the Word of God. Why Christian people refuse to see that and recognize it for what it is remains to be astounding to me. This is pure unadulterated evil in which Mr. Morris has allowed himself to be the vessel of Satan in this situation and has done so willingly. This type of evil does not come from a pure heart or good human being or sanctified believer. 35 years ago or yesterday this is still pure evil. This is not simply a human mistake. Raping a child once is certainly NOT "just a mistake." It is a hideous crime of soul crushing destruction. And raping a child repeatedly over a 4 year period only comes from a very deep well of true evil. Wake up Christians!

In politics, movies, music, sports, jobs, churches, etc, etc,. Why do women keep doing the same thing over and over again. They wait half of their lifetime before they come forward with the charges. And a lot of times it after someone becomes famous. Yes what happened is horrible.

It can take DECADES for a woman (or man) to come to grips with the trauma that was visited upon them.

That is a good thing that he told people about Jesus Christ, and helped them receive salvation. It is a bad thing that he carried on this secret sin for 5 years. The good things do not absolve him of the bad. This is the kind of sin/crime that means he must not be in any contact with any potential victim ever again. It is sociopathic, these people thrive on control and cannot help themselves. No, that is not an unforgiving spirit. I can forgive him, God can and his victim can. Keeping him from the remotest chance of falling into sin again is the least anyone can do.

Wow, glad I'm not the judge at this trial. Which sin is worse - murdering Christians or abusing a child? Saul was responsible for the death of Christians. He truly repented and followed God faithfully for the rest of his life which ended with him being martyred for his Savior. Paul (as he was later called) was used of God to bring countless numbers of people to Christ in his time and through out history by those who believed the inspired writings he wrote that were included in the Bible. So even though he committed horrible crimes he found forgiveness with God, was restored and served God as a minister for the rest of his life. Peter, denied Christ 3 times in a row and ran away as a coward when his master was arrested and stood trial. He was in hiding while his teacher was dying on a cross. Yet, he found forgiveness and was used of God to bring thousands to Christ. He continued to serve Christ the rest of his life until he too was martyred for his faith. So what is the case with Robert Morris? I don't have enough information to make a judgment. I don't know if Robert truly repented. I know he has continued in the ministry and has led others to Christ and helped many. So was this a case of past sins not truly repented of catching up with him and judgment from God upon him now? Or is it a case of the forces of evil bringing this man down to prevent him from doing God's work? I don't know. God knows.

He molested a 12 year old girl. Don't you dare compare him to Paul or Peter. Paul was ardently persecuting Christians as a Pharisee well within his legal rights to put to death heretics. Jesus changed his heart and showed him that He was actually God, and Paul repented. He went around preaching and being beaten, jailed, shipwrecked, poisoned, and more all the while telling of his past sin in complete truth and giving the glory of his repentance to God. Morris has lied and evaded the actual truth for decades; if he was a TRUE man if God he would know his sin has disqualified him from church leadership according to scripture. This man not only minimized his "moral failing" he tried to blame the victim, refused to pay her counseling bills, asked her to sign an NDA, and wrote books based on his false testimony. We know him by his fruits, and his fruits are ROTTEN.

You would know if you read your Bible. It was Satan working through Robert Morris to rape that child 35 years ago. It was Satan working through the administration of that church not removing the pedophile as they should have. And it is Satan now using this situation yet atain (that he orchestrated 35 years ago) to deceive and destroy. If Robert Morris hadn't allowed Satan to use him 35 years ago this wouldn't be an issue today. All these naive people say "look at all the amazing good Morris has done in these past 35 years." And I say "look at how Satan is yet again using Robert Morris's sin today destroying faith in God, dividing His people, and dividing His church from society as a whole. Doing much more destruction than Robert Morris ever did good." THIS is a win for the cunningness of Lucifer. If Robert Morris had kept his dick in his pants OVER THE 4 - COUNT THEM - 4 YEARS that he continued to rape this child, then this would be a win for God. Robert Morris's depravity lost this win for God and made it a win for Satan. THIS IS A CLEAR CALL TO CHRISTIANS TO OPEN THEIR EYES! STRAP ON THE THE SHEILD'S OF FAITH IN GOD AND PICK UP THEIR SWORDS! THIS IS A SPIRITUAL BATTLE AND NO CHRISTIAN GETS TO SIT IT OUT!

Even though my cousin was molested also and his siblings by a so called Christian man it was not right what he did to me. If Robert Morris steps down that would be the right thing to do. My cousin got aids yes he became gay later got aids he became born again and my mom was a witness to that I never told my mom until I was in my 50s once my cousin gave his life to Jesus Christ he was forgiven. What he did was wrong and anyone who abuses anyone or a child should be prosecuted. Because I know Gods grace and mercy a person who is truly repented will be forgiven. God has called us to repent, Of all sin. No matter how terrible, if we repent and turn away, we are forgiven. This includes Pastor Robert Morris. Why is this looked at differently than other people’s sins? For example, a woman who used abortion as birth control. Many women have multiple abortions over a course of many years. That’s murder of a “child”. I see forgiveness extended to them very readily, as it should be, so why not this? If God can forgive it, so should we.
