I used to use one of those IBM typewriters! Vernon must have had a crash course in book keeping, coming from his background with no office experience, to keeping meticulous records and notes on expenses. He must have been very forward thinking, keeping everything from when Elvis started to get famous. Did he know his son would eventually be a world superstar, and revered long after he died?

I wouldn't mind betting there aren't many offices that have all these documents still in pristine condition. If he did anything right it was keeping impeccable records. I will have to delve into how much he was able to keep an eye on Col Parker. I got the sense from the movie he was able to swindle a great deal but still seems Vernon had the forethought to keep that to a minimum at least.

Every time I see things about Elvis, it reminds me of my childhood and the great love at home with my parents right down the hall in their room. I would watch Elvis movies whenever, and on the weekend, at whatever time they came on. Lol...my dad would open my bedroom door on his way to the bathroom, and call me a night owl 😢😢 oh, how I miss them!! So, I’d watch Elvis movies all the time, in fact, he was my first official crush as a child. I held that crush forever! As I think on those times in my life, I can’t help but to smile and sing Love me tender in my mind!! AAAWWWW...., ELVIS!! May he FOREVER R.I.P.!!
