Because of China, and its industrious workers and efficient factories, what used to be expensive luxuries beyond the reach of the majority of people in the world, are now affordable to everyone. Just take the example of the smartphone. By this alone, China is a blessing to humanity.

Totally and utter agree. If USA were to stop their anti-China media bashing, and instead, worked with China, then every Human Being on our beautiful Planet Earth would prosper. Everybody would be living a middle class lifestyle (as proven in China ... but can go global) and the billionaires would still exist, but in a respectful manner. China is the only country that is working at STAGE 2 development, every other country is still trying to develop STAGE 1. Stage 1 is where you have all your citizens living a Middle Class life-style, efficient Civic Infrastructures, affordable basic Civic Services for all, and efficient funding for Science and Technologies due to free/affordable quality education for all. China has achieved all of this (while the rest of us still have huge gaps to fill) and hence why China is now at Stage 2 development. Stage 2 development is building trading infrastructures around the world to help other countries move all their citizens to a minimum Middle Class life style. China's BRI (Belt and Road Initiative) is doing just that. China builds AI Smart Robotic Trading ports for countries (land, air and/or sea) that allows the countries to transport to China, their natural resources swiftly and cheaply, and in return the BRI Countries get cheap, quality, efficient commodities produced and manufactured in China, that are required by all people to live a middle class life style. It is a WIN-WIN relationship. This is why 157 Countries around the World (out of 197 countries) have joined China's BRI trading relationship.

Asking the US to work with China is like asking a crime boss to work an honest job. US has printed too much money and racked too much debt to ever work an honest job, they've already lost all their industrial, technological and trade wealth that once backed the US dollar and the currency is now entirely backed by military threats against anyone who refuse to finance their debt. In other words America got addicted to and is now entirely financed by protection money. China by simply existing offers countries an alternative to trade using USD, a way for people to refuse paying protection money and not be wacked by the crime boss. in this scenario there is no asking the crime boss to work an honest job, or cooperate, it's too late, to the crime boss the only two choice are to fight the new guy, or go bankrupt.

If they were to act quickly and work with China, there is still hope for them. They need to start removing their 800 Military Bases around the world (or at least reduced them considerably). They also need to STOP their week Warships and Warplanes cruising/flying up and down China's maritime borders ... AND ... stop their stupid annual Naval exercises on the edge of China's maritime borders. USA need to lift their sanctions and drop their tariffs off all China's products (afterall, that is a stupid power play because China doesn't pay the added tariffs, the USA Citizens are paying for it, that is, paying higher prices with the money going back to USA government ... a hidden tax). USA needs to grow up and think. Work with China before it's too late, and they'll be helping every Human Being on Planet Earth. It really comes down to their 1% of the population who own 90% of USA's wealth. They need to STOP their greed right away before they bring down their country and ruin millions (MORE) USA Citizens lives. Can't they even do it for their OWN people? USA and China will be a powerful POSITIVE unit for the world ... bringing together a UNITED planet. It's NOT impossible. Otherwise, we'll just see the collapse of another empire (I never thought I'd be witnessing the collapse of an empire in my lifetime - purely out of stupidity and greed).

US could have been the greatest nation in history if not for the wars they got them into over the past 30-40 years or so. US has been very inspiring as most inventions were from US. The internet kind-of-things too, from US. Entertainment like Hollywood and music, you name it, the good-deed list is quite long. If not for the wars and hegemony kind of things, US is the greatest nation in history. The universe is a multi-verse. I believe there is an universe where US behaved like what China is now doing, staying on the right side of history and helping other weaker nations with development - that universe is where US is the greatest nation in history.

CCP party is different than US two major parties, two countries have different history as well. China has gone through years of instability, Eight-alliance occupation (including U.S.) in 1900, opiums were exported from western countries (including Roosevelt family), Japan invasion, WW II, internal red army revolution… A country with 1.4 billions population, a political system needs to remove the poverty and feed their people, as long as it’s good for the people and country, it’s admirable. A country with this kind of history likes to have wars? They are not like us, war hunger but for what causes? Every country has its own problems, our internal problems are much bigger than others. China is not remotely near to self sufficient in the food production and a number of other things (eg iron ore, petroleum). Anyone who says otherwise just doesn't know the facts. China has a large surplus in net export of manufactured goods but not in commodities.

He has made a few billion from China at the expense of European and American workers so he would say that wouldn't he.

He is absolutely right, many western media are always talking about China dependence on imports for food and energy, but China has huge untapped resources. Many farms are devoted to cash crops because it is cheaper to import grains and same for shade oil and gas, they are not as economical as those imported. But if there are to be international disruptions, it will be economically viable for domestic production.

Inventiveness is not the word i would use, economy of scale is more acurate, cheap product produced on mass, inovation is just not really there, just efficient copying.
