So sure USA China may be able to save them yet again. But it's not possible if no one comes to save Pakistan. Pakistan will become like Mayanmar, Somalia or Yemen. Playground for the big powers. They may not fall like the Soviet union did but they will find their own way to fall.

There are multiple reasons for a future conflict b/w two. The most dominant one is Taliban's claim over Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan. Taliban doesn't recognise Durand Line (Afghan-Pak international border) drawn by British (Sir Durand). Now coming to the Pakistan's Military Strength, there are several anti-state/separatist rebel groups inside Pakistan like BLA and TTP and they keep capturing pieces of land in Pakistan and bring enough casualties to the army. They may calture some really important strategic locations in the time of war. Addition to that Pakistan lack money to keep up fight for a longer period of time. Pakistan is a doomed state.

Economics is not a gun. But the philosophical explaining of the production of goods and services in a division of labor society. That explains trade and commerce. How that can you claimed that economics is a gun. Pretending that ecomonic power is political power, is where you go wrong, with such a bad anology. To separate domains. Its economic imperialism aka predatory lending. When China/IMF have enough economic assets in Pakistan they will have a 'legitimate' reason to protect those assets when things go south. Loans to Pakistan were not entirely or even mainly due to predatory lending or economic miscalculations. Many nations have a geopolitical stake in maintaining the nation of Pakistan. The United States needed Pakistan's assistance during its actions in Afghanistan, as just one example.

Even if all debt were to be "forgiven" or more accurately written off, this would not solve Pakistan's economic problems. The country simply lives beyond its means. I expect another military coup soon, but this will not fix their problems. They are in the process of total economic collapse and famine may follow. There is no way out this time. I have been aware of such actions coming up 2023 and I have been advising alot of friends to be able to plan. their life when the inflation seem to be coming but I'm so glad how few of them have really obliged to follow up my advice and his everyone should try to start a profitable business that can yield for a life time

What’s a couple miserable decades on earth compared to eternity in paradise? It’s always when things go bad that desperate suckers start finding deals like this persuasive.

Its their huge focus on religious fundamentalism which destroyed them. While other Islamic countries have resources, its feasible for them. Not for Pakistan. Now I feel like India is also slipping into Religious fundamentalist ideology, and soon follow Pakistan.

I appreciated the overview of Pakistan's situation.

Corruption and no rule of law is the biggest disaster for Pakistan

Bangladeshis count their blessings for not living under Pakistani army rule anymore. They made great sacrifices for their independence but ensure beneficial life for their fellow Bangladeshis.

As someone from Azerbaijan and committed to honesty, it requires considerable courage to speak the truth, particularly given that many members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation display a level of hypocrisy towards India and of course Islamic religion.

Interesting times ahead I know I am blessed living down under in the Southern Hemisphere way way away from all the troubles in the Northern Hemisphere and live remote rural off grid.

Pakistani army is the most unique army of this world it owns lands and industry of Pakistan and there general owns papa John's in USA but when it comes to war then they only know how to do surrender 😂😂😂😂

The bedrock issue isn't the debt, the main issue is accountability. Over the decades it has constantly squandered the bailouts and loans instead of building its economy infrastructure and education. The amount of money it's gotten over the years is insane. And yet countries in southeast Asia with lesser funding have been able to build themselves into a stronger more stable government, provide basic necessities to it's people and jobs( eg Vietnam and Iran, and they both went through alot more than Pakistan.)

Exactly. If the IMF/China/etc. bails out Pakistan again, they'll just spend the money building even more fundamentalist Islamic madrassas. Even in the middle of the current crisis, Imran Khan's headline policy was giving tens of millions of dollars more funding to the terrorist factories.

No pakistan is fine on its own political turmoil is a common thing

My impression of Pakistan since during Afghanistan era, as a nation, was that they were double-crossing and definitely not to be trusted. And since Afghanistan, the influence of China (in the region) has become much clearer. (Somewhat strange bedfellows since Communists are godless and have shown less than regard for Pakistan's and Afghanistan's Muslim brethren.) In any event, as far as I'm concerned, Pakistan is reaping all it has sown. And they deserve every bit of it.

Indeed it was Pakistan who was helping Talibans in Afghanistan, now it fires back to them back. Pakistan is with China because of animosity with india, because China and India have long time conflict about rivers and borders. It is indeed funny as you said that great muslims and believers as they like to represent themselves are co-operating with China who has put Uyghur muslims whole nation in concentration camps. All their trouble comes from their hypocritical politics, not to mention corruption and other problems.

No country is too big to fail. If that was the case then USSR would not have collapsed. The world community should manage the collapse of pakistan in a similar way like they did with USSR and should together secure their nuclear arms which are indeed a threat to the world in the hands of ideologically driven army and radicalized population as evident by the army’s support to terrorism making it the country to host the highest number of banned terrorist organizations and terrorists in the world. P.S Osama Bin Laden was found in the army town of Abbottabad in Pakistan.

Difference is the USSR divided into several states, but didn't turn into a failed state. Which is the worrying scenario here, where the nukes are "loose".

​@kira Ukraine should have kept their nukes and all delivery systems. Had they done so, Russia would never have invaded. A nuclear arsenal is worth much more than security agreements and promises to respect sovereignty.

USSR was not a country but a Zionists creation.

That flood, (was it last year? year before? ) was terrible. It would cripple any country. I grew up on a farm/ranch. I can't imagine having all the fields flooded. And the animals drowning.
