Yep, new needle and seat. It's funny how I tend to neglect my personal machine but am on top of ones I'm fixing and selling, but that's how it goes, time. I just needed to get that grass cut asap. This is why I keep the machine's that are really hard to kill lol.

Usually I just run the entire tank dry when I’m done with my equipment for the season. This prevents condensation from occurring and contaminating the fuel with water. There are several other symptoms of this problem besides the tank going dry by itself. When the engine is running it will give the same symptoms of being overfilled with oil. Smoke will shoot out of the exhaust, fluid will shoot out of the breather hose, and the engine won’t run as fast as usual. Overall this can become a serious issue if it goes unnoticed, especially on a lot of newer engines with the internal plastic gears.

It's definitely good practice to do that with ethanol related fuel issues no doubt. Unfortunately the last time I used the machine in the fall I didn't realize it was and I didn't get back to it till spring and that happens to the best of us. I still should have closed that valve. But I need to correct the root cause. It worked out though, it forced me to do spring maintenance and it needed it, that oil was bad. Otherwise I would have just got on it and mowed and it would have went, it's durable, but it will last even longer because it cried for help.

I can't get in it right now, haven't been on that platform on 4 months. In the meantime until I get back in there, you can send me messages on my Facebook.
