This is a really good tutorial. Thank you for uploading this video. Very clear and works hard to assume the person doesn't know jack about dryers or multimeters. In other words, me.

Thank you, I cleaned out my dryer vent and replaced the vent hose. My dryer works perfectly, it is on my schedule to clean every six months.

I do get the fire but it goes out after a few minutes. Checked fuse, thermistor, thermostats for continuty before and after flame goes out. All seem ok.

What if I have time dry problems. If I set for 40 minutes or longer, the dryer doesnt start. But if I set it for 30 minutes, it starts but I need about 3 runs to dry the clothes.

My problem is the dryer stops heating once it hits the "damp dry" (~25 minutes remaining). I don't have the damp dry sensor or a separate cycle. I start it off at 60 minutes, and gas cycles on/off maintaining good temp until it hits 25 minutes. Then flame shuts off, dryer keeps spinning and is ultimately cold by the time the 25 minutes finish. I've replace solenoids and igniter. Checked continuity on all sensors in the back and thermostat and everything checks out ok. Is there separate wiring I need to look at for the damp cycle?

Thank you. I'm a new tech/flipper and I have learned the hard way not to think a gas dryer is good just because it heats when you first start it. I sold what I thought was a good gas dryer, only to get a call that it is not heating. I thought I was saving time and money by plugging it in and hooking up the gas and running the dryer for few a couple minutes. Take it from me: you spend a lot more time and money on callbacks and refunds!

just experienced this with a g.e. gas dryer. started it up for a few minutes but client said it's taking too long to dry towels. problem is i don't have a gas outlet in my current address. i gave the client a refund. cleaned it and will sell it and hope cleaning it solved the problem. if it doesn't will give refund again lol
