This video saved me a repair call, a pissed husband, a few hundred laundromat trips, and maybe a fire. I love it. I can't thank you enough.
Reggie's video instructions are the only one I found to be easy to follow and detailed. His child was adorable too!
4 Years later, this video still helps. Thank you so much for such a wonderful and helpful video!
I'm just getting into it. Go figure, the washer door lock assembly went gunny bag, waiting for that part, easy fix. Now the darn dryer heater doesn't work. Ack. Just cleaned the vents and such, what a mess. Now it's attack the heater and such. Your video is most helpful. Thank God for people like you making these videos, life savers. Can't thank you enough.
Thank you Reggie! As a first time home buyer in southwest Florida where there are many unscrupulous contractors this has saved me a fortune, I’m sure the other quarter of a million people who have watched this feel the same
Thank you, so much. This really blessed me and helped me. I, a single mom, did everything thing you said step by step and it worked. It was so much dust stuff and it is drying one load again.

I, a married man, did everything he said step by step and it also worked.
I was very glad to watch your detailed description of how the dryer works and the many ways where an obstruction could prevent your clothes from drying the way they should. Well done! This was a very helpful video!!
Excellent video! Now I'm sure I'll find out why my dryer takes 2 to 3 cycles to dry clothes. Finally someone who went into detail step by step!
I loved when your son showed up. It adds realness to the video. I'm looking for substance amd not polish good job!
Thank you SOOOOOOOOOO much. I was getting dressed to go to Bestbuy and purchase a new Washer and Dryer. I went and pulled out the dryer, (which was easier than I thought) and saw the dryer was pushed too far up against the wall and once I pulled it all the way OUT and turned it ON, it got super hot immediately. It's about 12 years old but I literally wash one load of clothes a week. I REALLY was getting dressed and watching videos on here and ran across yours. You saved me 2 grand for NOW. lol. I'm sure the time is winding down.

I did the same and it worked. Thanks Mr. Nerd. lol
Your video makes me feel like I can fix my dryer. Best diy video I've seen on dryers!
Thank you SO much! I waited two months for my apartment to give me my washer and dryer and when I received it, my clothes simply were not drying. No matter the 4th or 5th cycle. I cannot tell you how MUCH lint was in it and packed in for that matter. Absolutely disgusting and a high fire hazard. Thank you so much ❤️
loved your professionalism and passion for helping people! THANK YOU for the video!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It was very helpful and saved me a lot of time and money to not have to call someone out for such a simple fix. I actually found a tiny screwdriver (like the kind used for glasses) lodged inside the vent shaft. CHECKING POCKETS FROM NOW ON!!!
U were so a regular person that i sent ur video to my adult son to help him troubleshoot his dryer issue. I just found someone to watch needed "plz help me videos". Subscribe is not normal from me. Thank you from Dallas Texas area.
Thank you- followed video, took back off dryer, found completely clogged area and removed all the material and reassembled and now it's works again! Peter
Dude! Thank you so much! Your educated guess and demonstration on how to deal with internal lint clogging was SPOT ON!
I can't believe it was such an easy fix and I've been putting up with adding more time for the past couple months. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks, Reggie! Great video! We were able to quickly clean all the lint that was trapped in our daughter’s dryer. The prior tenants had never cleaned the lint trap! Just did a load of sheets and she couldn’t believe they were dry in 15 minutes!
Just wanted to thank you for posting this video. Not only were we able to fix our dryer ourselves but learned something in the process so we can help others if this problem comes up again. You are very much appreciated kind sir. Who knows how much a repairman would have charged to achieve the same result. Dryer is working like a new one now.
I've been having trouble with my dryer for a while now and thanks to your video I was able to take the vent off the dryer. There was a ton of lint etc stuck in it. In the process of cleaning it out now, that was likely the problem. Thank you so much! Your videos are such a big help.
Seriously though, this worked! My dryer has been taking 2-3 cycles to dry clothes for well over 3 months. The tube in the back of the dryer was absolutely completely packed with lint! Thank you so much for this video!!! You're awesome!
Thank you so much for the video, you ROCK!! Very easy to understand. I was able to fix my dryer and now it's running great!!
#1 your little one is adorable and I am glad you left that in and just went on. #2 I was able to find and fix my issues thanks to your video. Thank you.

Wow, never thought about turning dryer around to lean against wall. Awesome idea on saving your back!
I work on dryers. This is a very good video explaining this subject and the cause in so many cases. Not all, but pobably most.
Reggie (great name by the way- it is my name too!): I followed this video and: Well, I can hardly believe it: a heavy load of dark clothes is now dry in one cycle!! That ought to save money on the electric bill! Watch the lint screen retainer when you tip the unit over- mine fell down on the drum, but I was able to put it back into place without starting over! I have cussed this Maytag dryer for over 5 years! The outside vent was clogged in addition to all of the dryer parts. THANK YOU!
Excellent video. Very thorough. My inner duct was filled with lint, sand, gum, pencil, a couple of earrings, an eraser, gum wrappers and a wire from an underwire bra! Thank you for your video.
Moved into a new apartment 3 months ago. We have been telling the leasing office since day one the dryer wasn't drying well. Just watched this and pulled out a pound of lint and crap. Thanks for the help!

Definitely need to clean out the ducks behind the wall, let them know it's a fire hazard. I recommend not running the dryer when you're sleep or if you leave the home
You are an angel for making this. I live in an incompetent apartment where maintenance has tried to fix the dryer 3 times without checking the external vent or the internal vent. The biggest clue I have is that, 1, I watched him work and, 2, they replaced the dryer once, and, 3, maintenance used to live above me and he said that his dryer takes multiple rounds to dry and that he doesn't know why, that it was "normal" for this building. Nice guy, but I'm not accepting that answer when he hasn't tried to clean them. So I appreciate this so much. It hasn't dried properly in 4 years and I am so worried about a fire.
Thank you. You are awesome. Cleaned out the vent on the back of dryer, cleaned out the dryer exhaust hose and then the vent and flapper on outside of house. Now my Roper Dryer runs like it's brand new. My dryer thanks you as well as I do. 👍

Right on Reggie, thank you so much for the video. Just moved to a new place that has a wash and dryer. Dryer blower was almost all the way filled up with lint and a few screws. You're awesome
Thank-You for sharing, Reggie. I took your advice, and was able to repair ours. Originally, we thought we would have to buy a new one. I hope you, and your family are staying safe during these challenging times. (read John 3:16)
Sending you a huge THANK YOU for this video! After watching, I was able to clean out our dryer including the motor and the vent line. My husband was even impressed! And now our dryer works again saving us at least $500 for a replacement! Thank you so so much sir!

That's great to hear. I'm glad to help
Thank you for this video. It saved me money and it fixed my dryer. It wasn't absolutely blocked up but it was enough for it to not be as hot. It was taking 2-3 cycles to dry, especially towels and sweats.
Thank you for this tutorial! My fingers hurt from taking all the screws from the back. Totally worth it though cause now my dryer is working
Bruhhh!!! You saved me a couple hundre bucks!! Thank you soo much, god bless you and your family!!
Reggie, I know we will never meet. But I want to thank you for this video specifically. I have been trying to diagnose our dryer issue for months and was too nervous to purchase parts because I want sure what the real problem was. The title of your video described exactly what was happening. I went outside and checked vent and sure enough it was clogged so much that no air was venting. I pulled out a ton of lent and wet lent and now air is blasting out. You saved me multiple hours and over $200.00 in parts. Thank you so very much! May God bless you and your family.
TY, Reggie! I checked my exhaust hose. Yes, it's crimped. I'm going to share your vid with my nephew. He will expel a gold brick when he gets it. 🤣 TY for saving me a repair call. Vid was so good, I could do this. I am a little old lady, no upper body strength. 👍⭐💖

Your videos are the most informative by far! Thanks and keep putting them out there.
I am so glad to have found your videos. The details is what is missing in the others. Keep it up; very informative as I have chosen and am determined to fix my own dryer.
Thank you so much! We followed your instructions and we were able to get our dryer to work properly again! ❤
Great video. Thank you for making this knowledge accessible!
Huge Thank You!! We were having this problem, and were really hesitant on buying another dryer. You saved us!
Excellent video young blood. lead in symptom (multiple cycles to dry) and most probable diagnosis were best of all I came across. Made perfect since. Thanks again from a fellow troubleshooter.

Great to hear Rick, thank you for your comment and feedback
Thanks for the video. I thought it could be a logged exhaust, but other videos were looking at solenoids and sensors before checking the basics. I cleaned the lint from the line and gave it a try to see if that was all that was needed. It was. Your saying that 90% of this problem you've seen is a blocked exhaust saved me the trouble of taking apart the dryer to test components.
I loved Your Lil Helper... sooo sweet 😁 Reggie I followed this video exactly... My dryer is FIXED!!! Hallelujah!!!🙌 A load of clothes were taken 200 minutes or more and still damp! And Now, lg. Loads 25-40 minutes !!! Wow thank you!!! Even though I’m a woman, ( not a rich woman) I try to fix everything from, car, lawn mower, appliances, to yard and any home repairs ! And You and video helped me save a lot of money 💵 from repair man and Future Electricity Bill! I will be continuing to watch your videos! Thank You sooo Much and GOD Bless You and Your Family!😇💯😇
Awesome vid! Straight to the point and clear instructions. Thank you for making this
Well Done young man! - Thank you so much for this video! - It helped me solve my problem of a partially clogged internal exhaust duct creating extra long drying time. Sincerely Armand (Long Island, NY)
Reggie, Thank you buddy two things stand out in your video, the comment about the screws and how many times it has been worked on was great, reminds me of my projects sometimes haha. The second was your little guy coming in to bring you the toy, great response!! That is some great Daddin' my friend, made me smile for sure! Thanks for the tips buddy and I will be hitting up your website. God bless you and your family!

Very good video. I have been a Laundry Tech for 7 years. You explain things so well.
I just watched this video to see if there was anything I missed. The last straw was check outside vent which I did at the start of this adventure. Well it was clogged again and it worked. Thank you so much for your informative videos
When I opened mine, my fan blades all had residue that changed the shape of the blade and I guess resulted in slower air flow. Thanks for the video - my first time inside a dryer was a piece of cake!

Reggie the appliance Nerd. Thank you very much. God bless you. Your video fixed my dryer. My exhaust was tangled behind dryer.
Thank You. I had the exact problem (dryer takes 3 cycles to dry a load). Excellent presentation...You Rock
Good professional tips about not losing the screws and such.
Reggie Thank you very much sir you saved us $170 service call. I watched your video because I was having a multiple cycle issue where it was not drying completely. I did exactly what you said on the video and it’s back to the way it was originally when we purchased the unit. It’s a Maytag electric dryer 220 V I will service it every year from here forward after what I found in that blower housing. Thank you very much the best video I was able to find about this issue. Thank God I watched this video first. My wife was ready to get a thermostat replacement. I took off the back and opened up the vent and it was full of lint. Testing it out right now.
6yrs later and i found this video. Thanks bro. Cleaned the duct the other day and will now be taking the panel off after this load is finished in two more hrs😂😂👍🏾👍🏾
Went on call for dryer needed 8-9 cycles to dry. Took of 2" thick mat of lint off filter. Dryer WORKS. Who knew !
Thank you so much! My dad just fixed my dryer using this video
Thanks so much Reggie. Me and hubby just cleaned our dryer and found bird's nest...cleaned all the ducts and backside of dryer as you advised..I'm sure this solved our problem..It was very dusty inside as well.
THANK YOU for doing this video. We have a dryer that is doing exactly what you detail. This is so clear and easy to follow. You have done a fantastic job. Again Thank you.

Do you travel outside your area?
Thank you!! My exterior vent was clogged. There was the plastic grate to prevent critters from getting in but it also created an area for lint to build up. I checked it first after your video and jackpot.
Thank you so much!! I just moved into a lower flat and the dryer was getting hot, but it was taking many-many one hour drying cycles..I did everything you said and there were clumps and clumps stuck into air flow compartment.. I'm a woman and these tasks can be so complicated and frustrating!!😂🤣🤪 You made it so easy!! Thank you so much!!!

Great video ,I have this exact problem and will be checking everything you mentioned tonight after work

Bro, you just saved me about $150 buck. my problem was lint build up in the air duct and a big ass bird's nest outside in the vent. cleaned both with a wire hanger. Dryer works fine. Your approach to theory was key. Thanks!!!

Awesome. Make sure there is a flap on the outside vent, keeps birds and moisture out of the duct.
Thanks for this - dryer now working again :)
