Dude! because of you I spent zero $'s on fixing my Whirlpool dryer. Didn't even need to buy a electrical multimeter. Cleaned out vent hose which was clogged. Started it up and very little air flow. Opened the ducting over the fan blade and there was a second clog. Thanks!

Thanks for the video I never thought to look inside the actual vent outside I looked into the hose and nothing there but sure as it was in yours there was twigs and grass and lint inside my exhaust vent. Going to install some wire on it so the birds leave me alone lol!

I have a GE electric dryer that has been lately leaving me with damp clothes after cycle is complete. I did take the hose off and got a lot of lint out of it and machine and tested it after i cleaned the hose/vent. It appears to be getting really good air flow from the vent outside however the clothes are still damp but not as bad as before the cleaning. I have a basic model that is just timer based cycles and does not have a humidity sensor. The dryer is heating but I cant say if it's heating up enough. Based off what I've stated, do you think this is either going to be a bad thermostat or my heating element is going bad? Since it is heating I guess it would be pointless to test for continuity in the heating element b/c the heating element coil is obviously not broken since it is producing some heat. What I dont know is if the heating element coils are in bad shape and are not able to heat up to proper temp. I havent opened the dryer up yet but was just trying to narrow down what problem most likely is. My best judgement says it's either heating element coils are in bad shape /replace heating element or it needs a new thermostat which tells the heating element when to cut on/off. Do you agree with this assessment or is there something else you think it could be?
